I've been reading some General Patton biographies and I am interested in great military victories. If anyone can recommend some good reading on past military victories and strategies I would appreciate it,

May your lights be green and your lines be short.

The two best books on the subject, which are unaffected by time, technology, or scale of conflict, are:

The Art of War, by Sun Tzu
and
Strategy, by B.H. Liddell Hart

John H Pooles books on any war that's happened in the past twenty years involving Islam; "Tactics Of The Crescent Moon" is a good one
"On Strategy: The Vietnam War in Context" is Not so much on victory, but on how we screwed up
As mentioned above, The Art of War is great for most military tactics and 36 Stratagems for others

General Patton's favorite book on the subject was Carl von Clausewitz's "On War". He is a fairly good judge of military strategy. He also wrote a book called "Principals of War".

Reading the journals of any of the successful generals would also be a good choice.

General Houston used the notes from his copy of the journal of General Wellington, about his victory over Napolean, to defeat Santa Anna's much larger and better equiped forces at San Jacinto, Texas.
