The Resistance my friend is alive and well. We'll use their technology against them. We'll hit and run. We have the patience.

The resistance network is in place. Cache weapons, supplies. Build a fallout shelter. BE PREPARED!!

Here's what will happen in the future war on robots (or mechanized-Americans if you want to get all PC).
The Republicans will say the robots have Nuclear arms, the Democrats will side with the robots.
The Republicans will launch a pre-emptive attack on robots, this will in act the Robot Mutual assured Destruction sequence, average individuals like you and me won't have a chance to fight off the invading Automatons in the first year of Operation Robot Freedom, we'll be busy scouraging for anti-radiation meds.
If your with me, you'll aim for the Rocky Mountains, the robots would have trouble traversing the terrain and wet weather.
From there we could launch a counter strike attacking power plants that the robots would need to survive. If you've ever seen the documentry Red Dawn you'll have the advantage for fighting on American soil. WOLVERINES!!!
Remember the weakest point on any robot is it's sensors, throw some mud on the cameras and attack at your leisure

It depends, on what machine took over.

If the Slurpee machines at 7-11 took over

I'd be a willing slave, so i could get the free slurpees.

If the camerias at the nashville network took over, it would be war to the last Hank Williams CD was burned !!!!!

If the machines ever took over, the world would be in an inevitable state of doom, if they were to defeat our ENTIRE military force. If the military force couldn't take down the machines, what could a group of people with sub-par and limited technology do against them? Sometimes you just gotta take it like a man...

Well very honestly I'd go rogue and become a major threat to *BOTH* sides of the conflict. Eventually I'd become such a pain in the **** you'd have to ally with the machines and set your differences aside just to stop my mad scheme of planetary destruction.

Then you'd realize you don't hate each other so much after all!

An interesting hypothetical...

Hell yes. What else is there to say? Those who would hide are already defeated and are doing little more than waiting to die. I'd always rather go down swinging rather than waiting at the edge of the ditch to be shot.

It depends on the options. If the machines are offering me a place in a techno-eden, in which they serve their fleshy wards... to hell with your resistance. Otherwise, lets kick some metal rear.

Nikolai: Guerrilla warfare could work. While you wouldn't have the psychological impact, conserving your forces while eroding theirs is a valid option. Heck, look at militants in Israel and Iraq.

With Robocops on the loose in the streets with search and destroy.
Better run into the woods.
When they don't know how to climb trees.
While reading an ape-man is on the trees.
Will be just passing by.
