My ex-boyfriend has been trying to contact me for six months, and I'm wondering if what he is doing can be considered harassment, and what I can do about it.
He says he wants "to talk," but after the emotional abuse he put me through for 2 years, I have been unwilling to take his calls. Six months ago he started calling and text messaging me daily, having his friends call me, and using his friends' cell phones so that I wouldn't recognize the number. One night a few months ago, he called me over 60 times in an attempt to talk to me. He's gotten better now (he only calls every week or so), but he has recently started e-mailing my mom and my friends and asking them questions about where he can find me. So, the question is...is this serious enough to go to the police? Is this considered harassment? Or is it just an "annoyance" that I should put up with? I'm moving on with my life and am not willing to talk to him...so what can I do to keep him from contacting me?

This is a story meant as a joke but I'm not sure if it could turn out real and would like to have your opinion.

A guy buys insurance for a carton of cigarettes to protect them from damage, intentional or otherwise. He then goes on to light them, ie smokes them and tried to claim the insurance, since after smoking them, it is technically "damaged". He successfully claimed the insurance for the item but once the damage was paid out, the insurance company sued him for arson. He was jailed for 2 years.

Is such a scenario possible in the United States?

The American dollar may soon be replaced with the "amero," a suggested new currency (similar to the "euro"), allowing Canada, the US and Mexico to move toward a "North American Community" -- a union similar to the European Union. Someday soon, borders will be open, requiring no passports or visas. Instead, an embedded mark in the hand or forehead will be used for instant personal identification. The problem of illegal aliens will be solved. We will all be one big happy family.

Are you wondering why such moves are being made without asking for a vote of the citizenry? The answer lies in the United Nations’ move toward one-world government. Plans are afoot to divide the world into ten economic/political regions. The United Europe is one region, and the North American Community is another. Around the world, regions are currently being developed. Some are further along than others, but 2010 appears to be an achievable goal for the emergence of world government

Doesn't it seem that lately politics seem to be in a stand-still. I'm not referring to GB, but I mean, it seems like nothing ever happens anymore.

Is it just that the Democratic Party and Republican Party are actually the same party at heart with a few minor differences. Because it doesn't matter what one canidate will say on a debate, are they really going to actually do what they say? No, because they never do.

So now that both the prime parties are in a sense worthless and doing nothing at a viewpoint. What do you do? And Who do you vote for?

Well one Thursday after school, me and my friends and other girls were talking and we realized, we had no homework or upcoming tests. My friend and three other girls were going to go home, change clothes, and eat at Buffalo Wild Wings at 6:00 and then head to the mall. I wanted to go, but I had to help tutor until 5:30. Then said they'd come by the school then and we'd all walk there together. So they came and I was the only one still in my school uniform. We ate and got to the mall at 7:15. We were walking around when my friend Libby saw two boys she knew. She was talking to them, but me and the other girls just waited behind her. During this, a cop came up to us. He told me to stand against the wall. I was handcuffed and led around the mall to the security office. I was then placed in an isolated room (with the cuffs still on). After about an hour, the officer said my friends paid a "releasing fee" and since this was a first time offense, nothing would be recorded.

The steady drumbeat of DNA exonerations — pointing out flaws in the justice system — has weighed against capital punishment. The moral opposition is loud, too, echoed in Europe and the rest of the industrialized world, where all but a few countries banned executions years ago.

What gets little notice, however, is a series of academic studies over the last half-dozen years that claim to settle a once hotly debated argument — whether the death penalty acts as a deterrent to murder. The analyses say yes. They count between three and 18 lives that would be saved by the execution of each convicted killer.

I know there is a lot of people in here saying that they dont want any illegal immigrants.
But do people in the U.S. know that they dont give out work permits?
A lot of people think its so easy to get a visitor visa, student or worker? But it's really not. And I just want people to know that they do what they have to do to survive.
