what do you think?

Its not like people want to believe that the government would do something like this, but even Hitler bombed his own city to declare martial law and no one dared to question him because everyone loved him.
I know I don't want to believe it, but fact is fact to me and there are too many things questionable about that day.

"Hillary Clinton's campaign has issued a statement saying she and Bill will be together this weekend in Selma, Alabama, which will be their first joint appearance together in a month. That's when you know you have a bad marriage -- when you have to put out a press release saying you'll be together for the weekend. You need cameras to record it, in case people don't believe you" --Jay Leno

"According to this week's Newsweek magazine, Hillary's campaign refuses to consider Bill Clinton's infidelity. ... They called it 'the elephant in the room that no one wants to address.' Which is what got Clinton in trouble in the first place ... the elephant in the room." --Jay Leno

should we just shut our intelligence agencies down and wait for the assault?

It appears we should do nothing in a pre-emptive manner. Libs love to give every last chance and every bennefit of the doubt possible to every criminal or terrorist out there. Look how they deffend Saddam. He was such a good little dictator... never hurt a fly. Sure... he was bragging about his WMD program to the world and wouldn't let UN inspectors into certain areas... but I'm sure he wasn't doing anything bad.... And the mustard gas thing with the Kurds... well, he was just trying to help his people out... that was all a misunderstanding that could have been worked out with hearty little pow wow. And I'm sure he stopped producing those toxins right after the whole killing hundreds of thousands of Kurds....

i have heard numerous things all over the country about home owners associations (hoa's).

i have even heard they can seize your house for various reasons.

in my area you are not allowed to paint you house any color without approval and you are not allowed to have an unattached building on your own property.

some places i have seen do not allow certain types of cars.

the rules go on and on, from how high your grass, to the type of mail box, to even what dog you can own in your own house.

do you all feel this is right? my feeling is the hoa started out as a good thing that has turned into a power trip in the effort to control what others do.

they say its to protect "property values" but to me, unless it is a safety situation, nothing, even money, should trump property rights.

to me hoa's are slowly but ever more encroaching on property rights, they say don't mave there then, but so much land has been bought up for development, it is about impossible now.

We also have a drug program you can participate in. It makes you incapable of violence. But we must have universal participation. Are you ready to vote to make this mandatory?

Aside from Saddam breaking 17 UN resolutions and trying desparately to flex to the world his WMD programs, I found this article which makes 3 good points...

What do you think?

http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/singer200407070856.asp

This is a paragraph that I feel answers the question the best...

There can be no doubt that Saddam's Iraq was, with Iran and Saudi Arabia, the most important Middle East government providing political support for terrorism. Irrespective of whether Saddam's regime had meaningful links to al-Qaeda or the 9/11 attackers, there is no argument that Saddam harbored the likes of Abu Nidal, funded Palestinian suicide bombers, and helped train and support other international terrorists. The exact extent of this activity is unknown, but clearly it's no longer happening, and this must count as a success in the war on terrorism.

Remember, this is a "War on Terror"... not a war on soley Bin Laden.

I am going to MEPS tomorrow for Navy Corpsman. I'm hoping to go to Radiology Tech "C" school later - but I know they wont guarantee me that.

However, CAN they guarantee that I don't have to serve in Fleet Marine Force? Maybe if I say, either that or I walk out? :/ I have asked my recruiter this question several times and he continues to beat it into me, that FMF is optional.

I am about to marry the man of my dreams in July, he just happens to be an ARMY soldier. It has been suggested to me that I get a book or two about the ins and outs of the army. I looked for a few but I really dont know what to get. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I would say that I know very little about day to day army life. I dont want it to be a total shock to my system when I join him. I could use a book that tells me very logical army things (terms, rules, regulations, jargon, how things work). But I have been told that there are also books about just surviving being an army wife.

Please dont leave rude inconsiderate answers. I know I dont know anything about the army, you dont have to point it out for me. I'm just trying to prepare myself to be the best, most helpful army wife I can be to support my husband. Thanks!

Followup: A year ago, the President of Virginia Tech was saying how banning the legal carry of firearms by concealed carry permit holders made the students "feel" safer. Did it make them "feel" safer while actually exposing them to greater danger?

And actually the only Republican with some brains? He is making more sense than even the Democratic candidates. I am very liberal but I think if Al Gore doesn't run and Ron Paul gets nominated, I would vote for Ron over the Democratic challenger.

Is the Navy X-Ray Technician (HM-8451) the same as the Air Force "Diagnostic Imaging" (4R0X1)?

Also, what is the difference between HM-8451 Basic X-Ray Technician, and HM-8452 Advanced X-Ray Technician?

...for HM-8451 it says "Personnel holding HM-8451 are assigned to large combatants and auxiliary vessels, fleet Marine Force units and at a variety of shore locations that have limited X-ray capabilities and equipment."
How would an X-Ray Tech work with the Marines? Would they be getting shot at? :o

Hi,
I am a citizen of Russian Federation. I am a graduate student on a F-1 Visa.

My Father works as a University researcher and planning to apply for Green Card. Me and my mom are planning to apply through dependent category.

Should we apply along with his application as dependent or should only apply after his application has been accepted.

Also how long does it take usually for a person like my Father (Russian citizen) to get an answer and how long for the dependents to get an answer.

thanks for the help

I have not blocked any. I like a seriously presented different point of view. I see from some of the recent questions that some of the conservatives seem to take great pleasure in blocking liberals. If you have blocked anyone, is this the reason, political difference?
