I have not blocked any. I like a seriously presented different point of view. I see from some of the recent questions that some of the conservatives seem to take great pleasure in blocking liberals. If you have blocked anyone, is this the reason, political difference?

lisa - you can tell if someone has blocked you if when you click on their profile you cannot see any of their questions and answers or if you try to answer a question they have posted, you will not be allowed to view the question or see any answers that have been posted in response

Usually it's the cons who complain about the libs blocking them. I personally don't block anyone unless they use real bad language or racial slurs. Other than that, knock yourselves out.I do give thumbs down a lot to those of the liberal persuasion. I blocked one guy who didn't like my answer, and said I wouldn't live out the week unless I apologized.

I haven't blocked anyone. I feel that if you need to block people because they are posting answers you don't like, well that is rather cowardly (Looking at you realgoodfolk.). I love different viewpoints, that's how we learn, by studying and trying out new ideas.
Now if the people you are blocking are just annoying trolls, that might be a different story.

I've blocked two trolls in total - and only because they keep finding ways (new names, etc.) to leave nasty comments on my 360 page. I would never use it to block someone just because they differed from me politically, sort of seems against the point, not to mention cowardly, in this section doesn't it?

I have blocked two. One because he/she sent me a threatening email. The second because the person blocked me for absolutely no reason other than a different point of view, so I blocked him/her back! I would never block anyone for anything petty, because I think that is foolish. But, the kind of person who would do that, is the same kind of person who would troll, or stalk, or clone, or harass, just for meanness or whatever! *sm*

purely trolls. i wouldn't in any respect block someone basically because of the fact of their comments. Why subject coming right here in case you do not choose an substitute of ideas and suggestions? whether you're appropriate here to yell on the "different area" it would form of defeat the objective to commence blockading those whose perspectives you do in comparison to.

I saw someone asking a question in Politics. And one of the answers was:
"I'm passing your wife a joint".
I'll let you think about that one.
And see if he should be more than Blocked! I've always thought of this place was "Yahoo Answers". Not "Yahoo Insults".

I think the whole blocking thing might be a good thing for the ultra-sensitive types. Or crazy trolls too. How do you even know if someone blocked you anyways?

The only reason why I choose to block or report is if someone clearly has nothing good to say and is only using personal attacks against other users.

Blocking users is a bit cowardly. If you're afraid of being offended, you shouldn't be here.
