Chavez is useing his army to seizing farmer's land (Just like his hero Stalin).Since ex-president Carter endorsed his win as president for life, there's been no comment from his camp yet.I wonder will he recant his endorsement,or just blame Bush?

Don't think it can happen?
Ha ha ha...oh you silly, unknowing people.

On May 9th, with only a minor press statement, Bush signed a directive that granted near dictorial powers to the president in the event of a national emergency declared BY the president.

If the president determines a catastrophic emergency has occured, he can take over all government functions and direct all private sector activities to ensure we will emerge from the emergency with an "enduring consytitutional government".

In laymen's terms, if Bush determines a national emergency has occured, he becomes our dictator so he can direct and and all government and business activities until he declares the emergency is over.

NSPD-51/ HSPD-20 makes zero reference whatsoever to Congress, suggesting that the powers of the executive order can be implemented without any congressional approval or oversight.

Now, if you are a neocon who thinks this is fine, consider this by using "Hillary" instead of "Bush".

Too be clear, I have no problem with the NAACP or UNCF. The problem I have is the double standard. If the NAACP, UNCF, BET, Miss Black America, and the like are not considered racist (excluding anyone who is not black based soley on their race), why not then would the National Assoc. for the Advancement of White People or the United Caucasion College Fund be accepted as not racist.

I hate how the goverment feels they have to take away our freedom to choose in what we want to do to ourselves. Why do they feel they need to protect us from ourselves? Smoking is harmful yes but we are responsible to make the choice for what to do with ourselves.

Personally I hate how most bars and restaurants now ban all smoking. Whenever people say no smoking majority they mean cigarettes; but now cigars, herbal cigarettes, and other smoking tools are banned. I used to love lighting cigars in bars but can't do that anymore thanks to the no smoking rule.

Parents of obese children ages 0-18yrs could be punished either by being forced to take nutrition courses and forced to enroll in low fee gyms to teach their children healthy habits. They would have to be monitored by a family doctor to check the progress of the child and if he/she hasn't lost weight and his/her eating habits are not the best the parents would lose temporarily lose custody of the children until they have been trained by nutritionist to but the right foods for their children. Anybody can accuse bad parents , including friends, family members, teachers, and doctors. This will ensure that obese children will lose weight and prevent health problems in their future. The causes for obesity in children will be researched and even if its for genetics they parents could be charged a fine for each obese children they have. Would you agree with this law?

I understand that when I by a prescption drug at a drug store, the drug store must tell the name of the drug and the doctor who prescribed it to a computer system. As I understand it, the drug companies can access this system and then know which doctors prescribe their drug and how to reward them. I understand that they have sales reps who are ex football team cheerleaders, who visit the doctors to see that they are rewarded. I understand that cash is not ok, but there are various things that are allowed, like dinners, golf trips, and even paid speaker positions at seminars. Can someone fill me in on the details? Do you know the laws that authorize this?
