Were you not aware that Cuba is another country?
And that they might not agree with the idea.

Just because we may not like Cuba doesn't really count, we don't like lots of countries and lots of countries appear not to like us.

For "take over" substitute "invade and conquer" and you begin to see the problems.
It wouldn't be easy....surprisingly they might fight back you know.
Assuming we got established they would then resort to guerrilla warfare and we'd have to subdue the population by force....not as easy as it sounds.
And unless we could convince the people that it was all a great idea we'd have to be there forever.
Again, not as easy as it sounds.....I'm sure you think everyone wants to be an American right?
Think again, I'm sure Cubans are just as happy being Cuban as we are being American.
What would we do if we were invaded?...Yes, exactly.

And of course, we'd be trying to convince a population that we were at the same time subduing by force remember?
Oh yeah...they're sure going to by that one!

Finally of course the rest of the world might just have something to say about such an action.
I know, I know....what do we care what the rest of the world think?
Well trust me, no matter how we might like to think it we share this planet with other people and we can't make it on our own all the time.

Enough resons for ya?

Cuba is geographically and strategically well located. Americans can't do that because the area ( Gulf of Mexico ) is patrolled and controlled by the Mexican Cartels.- and they are armed to thy teeth! Eventually Cuba will become the 32th Mexican State.

What in hell has Cuba done to warrant an invasion? NOTHING since 1962.

If Bush himself wants to invade Cuba, he has my blessing. The Cubans can then chuck his lame *** in prison for entering the country illegally. LOL.

If the US becomes dependent on ethanol maybe it may be a good place to get free and cheap ethanol, but really there is not reason to invade Cuba. Change is best when it is done from within not from outside forces. You can't force them to accept democracy they have to want it for themselves.

With the collapse of the USSR and the embargo, Cuba has been rendered a non-factor. They cannot hurt anyone.
