I think the United States should do all of the following:

1. In 2009, the first year after the State Quarter program is over, completely redesign all U.S. coinage, except the $1 coin. All Presidents should be removed from coins, and a return to traditional metaphorical representations of Liberty should be re-instated.

2. The dollar bill and two dollar bill should be done away with completely.

3. A two-dollar bimetallic coin should be minted.

I have noticed a trend lately in the police community to use cars that look like regular cars (shows nothing that it is a police car) to catch people speeding. I believe it is a bad idea for anyone could get flashing lights and sirens from radio shack and pretend to be a cop. It is giving crimminals a chance to commit fraud while pretending to be police. I also believe it is a step towards having a secret police in the US and that is not a good thing. Ever.

I haven't heard anything on the news but are the dems planning on having their 08 convention in Denver, Co? I'd heard something about several unions not getting certain demands and that would hold up the dems from going to Denver...so is the democratic party convention going to be held in Denver, CO?

Was this country founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ? I assume that means the King James Bible. It's a nice story, but not even close to the truth. Certainly the early settlers were various sects of christians, but they didn't 'found' the United States of America. The United States of America was founded when the Constitution of the United States was ratified. (Two points if you can give us the date.) With the ratification of the Constitution we became a legal and recognized entity and the Constitution became became recognized as the founding document....not the 'Bible'...King James or otherwise.

In the old television show with George Reeves, Superman 'kidnapped' a man and woman because they were about to expose his secret identity.
He flew them into a cave high in the mountains until he could decide a permanent solution.
They had food and water, but no means of escape to climb down the mountain.
They attempted it anyway, falling down the mountain and getting killed.
If not murder, he sure seems guilty of costing those two their lives whatever it's called.

consider a tax system that only provided deductables to the poor , think about being able to fill out your taxes on a single postcard , ponder the thought of having to pay only ~10% of your income to the government , now consider how much good that saved income would do for the economy

But don't worry about lost government revenues, this system would boost national wealth by $5 trillion (according to Dale Jorgenson of Harvard) . Hate it when the wealthy can just hire a creative lawyer and skip out on their taxes? Consider this practice over with the incredible Flat Tax. .These are just a few of the advantages of a flat tax.
