This isn't about war in general, this is about the war we are mixed up in right now! This isn't about human nature, this isn't about humans being unable to stop being a$$holes! This is about POLITICS!

WHY can't we STOP the war if we want it to stop?

This isn't about terrorism, this is about escalation and revenge! This is about killing and killing in retribution!! This is about being killed because of something someone else has done to someone else!

This was isn't about security! Its about INSECURITY!!!!

If we don't stop killing all of them because of what "some of them" did to us... they'll never stop coming.

I know I won't lay down when someone guns down my son, or daughter, or my husband, or mother because they were in the wrong place.

If we don't change what we're doing.... we're going to lose so much more than we think we already have. The thing is we don't know how much we've already lost. We don't even understand the damage we've already done to loved ones over there

The long established British systems of justice are being shunned by Muslim clerics who have introduced Sharia law into parts of the country with the blessing of the Labour government.
Sharia courts exist in every major city across Britain where there is a Muslim community. Muslim clerics who run the courts dole out justice according to the teachings of the Qu’ran, the Islamic holy book.
Is this a christian country or what?

The left-wing secularists who believe in seperation of mosque and state or the right-wing "value voters" muslim fundamentalists who want sharia law to be made the law of the land?

IZMIR, Turkey (Reuters) - At least 1 million Turks took to the streets of Izmir on Sunday to demand their country remain a secular state, stepping up pressure on the Islamist-rooted government before July elections.

Turkey's main opposition centre-left Republican People's Party (CHP) and the smaller leftist Democratic Left Party (DSP) -- which are in talks to form an alliance -- hope to use the rally to build momentum ahead of the July 22 election.

Police told Reuters at least 1 million people attended the seaside rally, with no major incidents reported. Organizers, mainly leftwing groups, had hoped to attract 2 million people. The protest began to wind down by late afternoon.

I'm thinking of starting a Web site that profiles a particular neighborhood. If I photograph the exterior of people's homes - but don't disclose the street name or number - can I get in trouble?

Honestly, I'm tired of hearing Americans on the Internet going off on one about how they 'saved' Europe in the Second World War.

In truth, the British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, French and especially Soviet forces had been fighting for years before America even joined in. These are the countries which won the war. America helped, yes, but they didn't 'save' anyone.

We started off by separating from Europe for that very reason . Religion and God had become the determining factors in everyday life .
Radical concepts such as Galileo who suggested the earth rotated around the sun got him convicted of heresy and sentenced to what amounted to house arrest for the remainder of his life .
Today George Bush asked Jesus for what amounts to permission to destroy another nation .
Can We as Americans be so complacent as to allow delusional people to Run our nation .

My thought on this is that when two people, (of course of opposite sex) climb into the sack, one is going to be on top. If the 'church' and the government are playing kissy face, what are the chances that in time, your priest, rabbi, iman or minister will become just another government functionary? Do the Jesus (or Allah) freaks really want this?

During debate on the Senate floor, Senator Ted Kennedy, speaking of the effects of the act, said, "...our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually.... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset...." The act's supporters not only claimed the law would not change America's ethnic makeup, but that such a change was not desirable. However, in the end, this act dramatically changed the face of American society by making it a multicultural, multi-ethnic nation. Prior to the act, the United States was overwhelmingly composed of whites of European descent (89% in 1965), with the only minority group of significant size being blacks (10%). Since the implementation of the law, the relative proportion of the white population has been in steady decline, with whites projected to lose their majority status during the 21st century.
