Radical concepts such as Galileo who suggested the earth rotated around the sun got him convicted of heresy and sentenced to what amounted to house arrest for the remainder of his life .
Today George Bush asked Jesus for what amounts to permission to destroy another nation .
Can We as Americans be so complacent as to allow delusional people to Run our nation .

This country is not the one I served. Everyone wants "EQUAL RIGHTS" UNTIL MY WHITE A** TRIES TO GET A Loan/grant for a business or custody of my child, or even get fired from a job after 2 years because some Corporate IDIOT just noticed the braided ponytail tucked into the back of my shirt, and after they cut every raise my boss put in for was cut in half. Why are there minorities if we have these equal lefts? Why are there no Honkies working at the Dept. of Labor? Why did DHS tell me that they won't do anything for men? If we don't fix the problems as we go this house WILL crumble. I'd be delighted to see you make the same pay as I do. but I've never seen you standing in line to work your body to early retirement, if you live that long. When you get yourselves away from the AC & desk, and put in 20 outdoors. lose a few finger/toenails, stand outside at midnight mid-winter with mud, water or?? pouring down on your head but you can't run, you must continue and hope the pressure doesn't push out enough mud to cause a "BLOWOUT", I've seen pipe screwed together BLOWN out of the hole. If any rock or debris comes up and hits the rig it ignites and now we REALLY GET TO HAVE FUN. If you want what I've got then do as I do! I'll even teach you to do it safer than I did, maybe you'll last a bit longer. I, personally can't even run my AC because of the pain.Let's raise all our people as a whole unit, then we can 86 the word that eats at me the most. "MINORITY". And you thought you had it bad. HA!!!

I don't think so. This has only occured under our wacko pseudo-religious nutjob president.

Once he is gone, the religious right will creep back into their churches and homes where they belong.

Mr. Bush, being such a good christian and all, what with god talking to him and such, has allowed the nonsense to happen. He has placed over 400 evangelical wingnuts in positions of power throughout his administration across the nation. They feel empowered by this....

They will be gone when he is - and I can't wait.

The United State of America is a tough country...we have survived wars, insurrection, attacks. We have survived the worst leaders in world history - and still we survive. It is going to take a lot more than a few screwballs to change the basic American or his/her country.

Who needs Jesus.? This country has always had a ring around it's neck from the righteous and religion compliant citizens. No sitting president can be afraid to go to hell, might as well resign. We only have separation of church and state because the Anglicans were jailing the Baptists in Virginia, and a deal had to be made to get the South to sign in for the revolt against the British. No one believed it would allow atheists, and agnostics to have a say in the Govt. But as I understand it, the agnostics are the only ones not involved in some kind of atrocity. Government by agnostics is just fine with me.

Sounds to me like you are making a case for a bunch of mindless robots bowing to a federal identity control system. Peoples preference for religion and the identity that they get come from the Creator- God. The phrase "One nation under God", still rings true. Also the Fed. Govt. shouldn't make laws restricting thr free exercise of speech, press, or the estblishment of religion. We are always free to be what Creator wants us to be.

The first commandment tells us it is God that frees us from Pharaoh, or some imperial leader.

Our country was founded on two principles;

Country without a King, Church without a Pope. Crusader mentality and religion in Govt. are bad mixes, because one usually tries to oppress the other.

-James Madison said that the Constitution was written as if "by the finger f God"
-Thomas Jefferson said our government is set up for a moral and religious people only.
-George Washington said that our schools should promote the teachings of virture or morality which is found in God's law.
Are you going to argue with the Founding Fathers?
If you dont like the history then get out!!

It never went away, only to what extreme you consider it to be involved. The US society was founded on Jewish/Christian values, and freedoms. One of these values, and freedoms, is the United States freedom of speech. Without this solid foundation there would be, complete lawless, or another religion which, would cut your head, or hand off. No religion at all is considered a religion as far as I am concerned. If you want no values, or imply your own values, everybody will have to do what ever you say. I would feel uncomfortable around someone whom wanted to break the ten commandments, which was the values of our forefathers.

No, being religious has always been part of mainstream America. many of our leaders have been religious and turned to god when faced with tough decisions. we came over from Europe not so much because we were all atheists or godless people, but to have the freedom to worship our own god in our own way, which ever religion that might refer to. a person having faith in their god does not necessarily make them delusional. but being paranoid because someone does, could make you seem delusional.

the main effectual attempt of Republican propaganda when you consider that Reagan has been its insitence that democracy and capitlism are incredibly synonyms. As preparation has been devalued, and public counsel censored by making use of a similar cabal, it has substitute right into a lot extra in all probability that individuals merely isn't waiting to check that this could be a calculated lie.

Monica Goodling, taking the fifth. Monica Goodling, graduate of Regent University run by Pat Robertson. Monica Goodling involved in the debacle of the Attorney General, and speaking of attorney generals, did you know former Attorney General John Ashcroft is now a professor at Regent? Pat Robertson is teaching his crazy brand of christian radical fundamentalism at his university and with his political connections and those who agree with him and their political connections, they are placing people into different branches of government where they will either make law or influence law to their religious beliefs, very scary.
