The long established British systems of justice are being shunned by Muslim clerics who have introduced Sharia law into parts of the country with the blessing of the Labour government.
Sharia courts exist in every major city across Britain where there is a Muslim community. Muslim clerics who run the courts dole out justice according to the teachings of the Qu’ran, the Islamic holy book.
Is this a christian country or what?

All the "anti-Nazi" idiots that answered this question should first take a look at Nigeria, a country split by Moslems pushing through Shariah law.
Next they should take a look at Iran and what passes for justice there.
Then they should look at Australia where the Moslem element there were told in no uncertain terms that it was Australian law or nothing. If they didn't like it they should leave. (None did of course).
If anyone wants to see what Islamic justice is really like, and if you think that all white commentary is obviously just racist then why not go and look and some sites that come from ex-Moslems?

www.apostatesofislam.com for instance.

Incidentally any Moslem or other alien that doesn't like UK law ought to leave. Don't blame the BNP for the backlash caused by your own stupidity/excesses/intolerance!!

Free speech rules. "Anti-Nazis" are the real Nazis!!!!

sorry, i have never heard of Sharia courts. i'm guessing if they were that big of a threat, i would have done.
yet, i will look into more now you've told me about them.

regardless. freedom of religion is valuable.
i wouldn't give that up.
it isn't really about religion as far as doling out justice.
that's about the law, the legal system. and that ought to be seperate from religion and is in this country. so if they are having their own courts where they dole out justice in the sense that the law of this country is responsible for; then it needs to stop. it's against the law basically in that regard if that's how it is happening.

religion and 'the state' are seperate.

ps. people are asserting there are 'Christian Courts' too. However, never have I witnessed a Christian Court in the UK; and I went to schools here that were CofE schools. I have not seen a 'Jewish Court' in the UK either, having some experience with that as well. You may referrring to Orthodox Jews, and I've only seen that in the USA.
I fail to see where anyone is getting their ideas, and evidence. We need evidence this is going on, rather than mere assertions that it is.
Plus saying Christians and Jews have courts, so it is okay for Muslims to; isn't a good enough argument. The courts of each would be different. The CofE would go along with the law of the UK, not against it.

Someone wrote that the Muslim court can tell you what to do, but you don't have to do it, because it isn't the law of this country. Well, if you do not do what the Muslim court tells you do to; then won't you be ostracised by the Muslim community. That's a very big concern.

When you are speaking of these Sharia courts do you mean the 'priests' that don't drink. apologies i don't recall the proper name. then people pretend not to drink around them; but go drink anyway. That's an example of course. It doesn't seem that much different from how people act around vicars.

I think no country is serving God in any capacity to be able to call inself a Christian nation. I say give all the Muslim kids a boom box and some old sixties San Francisco rock CD's and some pork rinds and Pepsi for munchies. Heavy on Jefferson Airplane, and throw in a little Country Joe & the Fish. Then they can grow up and be just like us and live happily everafter. The End

I thought we has a secular government WE are definitely one of the most secular countries. I would;t want to be rules completely by a Christian/Muslim/Jewish or any religious rule that was fundamental. Sharia courts can also be overwritten by UK courts, they also restricted to civil; matters. Don't forget Jewish courts also exist . It's the majority of the time more a religious confirmation of a civil matter such as a divorce, they have to be not married in the eyes of Islam. That's just like confession really although in a bigger setting. If Sharia courts are dealing with criminals this is automatically overwriiten by uk law . Less than half of UK Muslims agreed with this i may add. Including the main Muslim religious group in the UK. Sharia courts don't reject the UK legal system but with civil matters confirm (mainly divorce) in relation to Islam.

The Question Is:

WHEN IS THE BNP GOING TO WAKE UP?

I think you insult the intelligence of the British people whether they are white or black. Your views are completely contradictory, you hold Churchill is high esteem yet you have views that mirror Hitler...

Furthermore, don't you think you're using Muslims as scapegoats as the Nazis did with Jews, calling for banned halal meat is what Nazis did about Kosher food. And coming up with the propaganda that Muslim lads will steal white daughters is the same what Hitler and Goebbels said about Jews.

Intelligent British people don't listen to the BNP, that's why you always get a low turn out!!

The BNP are terrorists like Islamist movements, they funded the London nail bombings which killed a pregnant woman in Soho.

Hypocrites are those who believe the BNP...

In answer to your question, no it's not a Christian country. It's what ever you want it to be, that is why we have religious freedom in this country. What you are suggesting is absurd and scaremongering. Do you fondly imagine that there are going to be public floggings in the market place of Bradford or miscreants being stoned to death in Southall Broadway ? No it's not going to happen. We have one law in this country and that is the law of the land and if you break it, even under the veil of a religious law, you will be punished.

There is one serious exception that seems to be overlooked. I have always thought that those in the Jewish faith who enforce circumcision on children should be prosecuted for actual bodily harm.

The British people are waking up - they started kicking BNP councillors out, and didn't vote others in earlier this month.

Well done Mr Sceptic - excellent!

Bring Me Sunshine - the BNP councillor in Stoke didn't defect, he was kicked out, and he now wants to join the Conservatives! This is after Labour defeated another BNP councillor in Stoke this month!

The BNP are a spent force as the silent majority of this country who believe in tolerance and freedom for all start to rebel against the vile vocal minority represented by people who ask stupid questions like this!

The views of the BNP are just as intollerant and objectionable as those of Muslim extremists who advocate Sharia law. Two sides of the same coin.

I think the BNP is a bad party. But sharia law is backwards and barbaric and has no place in this country.

This is not a christian country - it is a secular country and long may it remain so.
I'm more worried about your so called party spouting the same anti Muslim twaddle on and on. When are you going to realise that you lost?
Btw, a Stoke Councillor this weekend defected from the BNP to become an Independent so their net gains in last week's local elections are now....nil. It says a lot about your policies, yes? Accept YOU LOST and move on.

Your question alarmed me. But it appears that your assertion is from a quote by a Patrick Sookhdeo in an article in the Guardian. Mr Sookhdeo may or may not be correct. If he is correct then it must be stopped and I am sure that the government on behalf of the British electorate will nip it in the bud. If not they will get their say, as we are a democracy. I could never support anyone that feels that a racist party like the BNP represents their own views. I also would oppose any move towards christianity having a greater influence in the government of this country.
