They should confiscate the property. There's a place down the road from where I work that has a dozen or more cars and trucks parked out in front each morning. It's a small house, maybe 1,100 sq/ft at the most. Do you think it's just an American family with 25 visitors from Wisconsin?

this bill was passed by the voter by 70 percent. of course the aclu and other pro-illegal organizations feel this a country of the lawyers, by the lawyers and for the lawyers. this bill does not ask the landlords to enforce the law. they only have to get identification, social security number etc. turn it over to authorities and the authorities check it out, find out if these are read or falsified documents. the the authorities follow up. the landlord is responsible for only gathering the info on the documents, if they do not make an attempt to get this information then they would be fined. there are also other exceptions in case of some hardships like old age etc. so it isnt the horrible law that some people would like to portray. i wonder how much the ACLU and other such organization get as a percentage when they do win these class action suits. dont take their word for the these laws entail.

It is a great thing. There are a few idiots out there who want to claim that they are making landlords do the government's job but that is just an excuse. Evey landlord out there has a 20 page application that you fill out before they will rent to you. They want to know who you are, what your credit history is like, etc etc.
It is already against the law for them to aid and abet an illegal alien per the Immigration and control act of 1986. They know that the person they are renting to is illegal, they just want to feign ignorance. Well since when was ignorance an excuse for breaking the law?

It's an awesome thing, actually. I mean look at their demands. They want citizenship, they want medical care, they want welfare and all they do is sit on their behinds, eat, and sleep. Think about it, the money for our social security will be depleted in I think 10 years because we're paying for these guys.

Here's a little story. I came to the United States from a communist Southeast Asia country legally. Why did I come? Well, my family was dodging and running for bullets from a bunch of AK47's. Was I able to "cross" a border? No. From that country, we went to the Philippines where we worked for a US Missionary to earn the money for a plane ticket for six months and for a letter to support our immigration to the States.

That was in 1987. I was only 3 then, we started our papers for citizenship. I went to school and graduated in May of 2003. In June of that year, I was in basic training, in the Army. At the age of 21, I finally received my citizenship after serving in the military.

If they want to walk off the job to show how much they impact our economy, why don't we just not give them a job, any American benefits (welfare, Medicaid, etc.) and see how much they effects their standard of living. Work for your right to come and work for your right to live. A $500 fine is a blessing to the landlords. Let's get a bunch of Feds out there and wait for them to say "I'm an illegal and I VOTE!"

He should be prosecuted, but what it boils down to is that, our government and leaders don't want to offend the Illegals, but what will happen, I see it everywhere Americans, especially those in Texas are getting fed up with our government, and soon there will be changes, in the whole system.

I think it is a GOOD thing.
Although I think the fine should be higher.
If you want to live in America for God's sakes, do it the legal way.

Well, after getting kicked out of rentals, the illegals can turn themselves in to Border Patrol or ICE and they can go home.
