With our masive GNP, highest technology, huge production, best navy in the world, incredible kill ratio (60 kills to 1 casualty baby!), and large population, we would get clobbered by hippie anti-war sentiment. Just like in Iraq now.

hell yes, the US would cream any Brit force in a war. question is, why would we battle in the first place? revolution and 1812 were a long time ago, bub.
and what do you mean by intelligence? information gathering? or just brains?
and what do the Brits have that can beat us? Challenger 2 can be matched by M1A2 Abrams; their minicarriers suck (a Sea Harrior hasn't yet been proven better than an F/A-18), their SAMs are ok, but still, isn't that why we invented the Wild Weasels? on the ground, I guess British forces (particularly Special Ops) may have better training, but maybe not, and we definitely have greater numbers (if not for the war in Iraq, which, if memory serves, also involves Britain). so before you ask such an incredibly stupid question again, do your homework and actually learn about what you're talking about.

The Brits would of course. They have bad food and ugly women so they have nothing to live for :)
No seriously the US out numbers them, but the Brits are a well trained professional army. They had the original citizen army dating all the way back to the Napoleonic wars. They also have nuclear weapons...so I would be a dam good fight.
I do not see it happening though. The Brits are probably the best allies that the US has right now.

While I am no fan of the British Armed Forces (my Irish colleague here on the yacht has told me some horrific stories) I do rate them much more capable and professional than the US Armed Forces (including their much vaunted Marines). The Brits didn't rule 1/4 of the world and not learn a trick or two. The only reason the Yanks might win is
1/ Superior numbers
2/ More weapons
Simple as that. The British SAS could kick the Delta , Rangers and SEAL forces with their eyes closed. As a Spanish person I am not biased..just informed and very well read.

First--The US Military has more people and stronger weapons. However if this war ever broke out then the entire EU if not UN would support the UK (which btw isnt a country, its a coalation between England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland).

I doubt it. We'd probably give them Massachusetts and New York. That way we'd be rid of of Hillary and John Kerry. On second thought, that would really piss them off and they'd probably nuke us.
