Texas Chili Contest

Note: Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the first two judges, the reaction of the third judge is even
better. For those of you who have lived in Texas, you know how true this is.
Judge #3 was an inexperienced Chili taster named Frank, who was visiting from Springfield, IL.
Frank: Recently I was honored to be selected as a judge at a Chili Cook Off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking for directions to the Coors Light Truck, when the call came in.

please the phrase 'to fight evil...to fight for freedom' is all rhetoric. The real world is not a comic book.
I'm sick of people saying support our troops when they are not even sure what they are fighting for. If you really want to support our troops then you should make sure that they are fighting for a real cause and not just going out there to die.
Where is the concrete evidence and reasons that we are still in Iraq? The only thing Bush will say is 'because we're spreading freedom....we're fighting evil.' NO REAL SUBSTANCE! SO since our troops and our freedom is such a big issue then...how come the U.S. government doesn't need to provide concrete evidence to wage wars against another country?

no church at all, ask yourself this question..... How many hospitals, universities, orphanages, homeless and abuse shelters have been founded by the ACLU or American Atheist Society?
Isn't it the inclusion of the word Baptist, Catholic, Christian, Presbyterian, etc. in the name of so many of these institutions that proves by ACTIONS, not just words, who really cares for the suffering of mankind and desires to make the world better.

True or False
There are no parties anymore. Democrat and Republican do not exist. Both sides are supporting each other and stalling for each another. They still balance the issues that separate them from one another but the New World Order is in full swing. Both sides are under control by Lobbying and foreign policy now comes first before America!
We need to see this clearly. We can't vote for any of the candidates both sides have been showcasing. Both sides are trying to destroy our American independence and they are trying to monitor every single American without cause.

If you don’t understand the Democrats’ version of tax cuts (and you are not alone), maybe this will help explain it:
50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund was then due
The team was about to mail refunds when the Congressional Democrats stopped them and suggested that they send out refund amounts based on the Democrat National Committee’s interpretation of fairness.
After all, if the refunds were made based on the price each person paid for the tickets, most of the money would go to the ticket holders of the most expensive tickets. That would be unfair and unconscionable.
People in the $10 seats will get back $15, because they have less money to spend. Call it an “Earned Income Ticket Credit.” Persons “earn” it by demonstrating little ambition, few skills and poor work habits, thus keeping them at entry-level wages.
People in the $25 seats will get back $25, because that’s only fair.
People in the $50 seats will get back $1, because they already make a lot of money and don’t need a refund. After all, if they can afford a $50 ticket, then they must not be paying enough taxes.
People in the $75 luxury seats will have to pay another $50, because they have way too much to spend.
The people driving (or walking) by the stadium who couldn’t afford to watch the game will get $10 each, even though they didn’t pay anything in, because they need the most help (sometimes known as Affirmative Action!).

responded by saying that Islamic jihadists declared war on us years ago and now all we're doing is deciding to do something about it.
But if that's the case, aren't we, by acknowledging their authority to declare war on us (a courtesy usually only extended to other nations), just validating their cause? In other words, if we just tightened up our security, didn't allow people of questionable ties into our country in the first place, had tighter immigration laws and didn't let pizza delivery guys have the run of military bases... wouldn't we, by ignoring their call to jihad, be placing less credibility on it?

The Republicans may or may not understand the gravity of what is happening as a result of Bush policy, but more importantly they do not care.
The fact that the Administration is in the process of attempting to morph every facet the United States government into a self-serving entity is of no consequence to them. Since they suffer no consequences and also read the kinds of unquestioning juvenile postings that are generated here, they are emboldened and must be saying to to themselves "We can get away with anything".
That's why the Bush administration values loyalty without question or conscience, over what is truly in the best interest of the American people.
That's why it is so easy for the Republican elite to sacrifice the children of the middle class in an ill-conceived war..it's not their little spoiled darlings.

As President Bush said the Republicans took a thumpin; over Iraq. Try telling Matt that:
"The Far Left does hate America, does support terrorists by electing traitorous Democrats, and does hate our military. You can call me whatever you want. It wasn't Conservatives that allowed Democrats to win back the House. It was a bunch of undisciplined Rhinos."
Perfectly wrong.
Name ONE democrat who says the "hate" America or our military. If anything, the Left taking the keys to the car away from the Right is a matter of avoiding and even worse mess, and it the Left's patriotic duty.
