if you were charged ,then convicted or in some way you pled guilty and were sentenced fine probation ect. it will show up on your record.

If you were not printed, you were not arrested. Sounds like you may have been detained. Nothing on a criminal record with a detainment.

In Illinois, if you are arrested, you get fingerprinted and a court date. Seems that you were detained.

If you are actually arrested it will show on your record. Sometmes it takes some time for them to process paperwork though. If you are only detained, it will not show.

were you photographed? did you have to pay bail? you may not have been arrested but just detained. call the police department and ask them if they have any arrest records.
