Liberalism means...Liberals share a belief in individual rights, free enterprise, representative democracy, and the rule of law. In this sense, almost all Americans accept liberal ideals, so much so that it is easy to forget how revolutionary these ideals were when the American Constitution was written. Jefferson said "peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none." All of our founding fathers considered liberalism a foundation of “the grand experiment”, America. In our era, liberalism has been derided to appear weak and elitist, and, our military is used to enter entangling alliances with some. Think liberal, think BIG!

I thought that only citizens could vote. Does anyone else find it disquieting that we have some state governments that want to allow illegal persons to vote on ideas and initiatives that will affect US, natural citizens. I am all for someone leaving their country and coming here, but I want them to do it LEGALLY. Nothing should be given to illegals for free- if they are here then they should pay at higher rates- I am meaning schools, medical care, everything should be higher.

What if their "democracy" is unfriendly to the US? Do you think he has really considered this?

I think he wants them to have a democracy as long as it's to his and his friends benefit. I don't believe he's even contemplating that they might enact a democratic theocracy or some other hybrid form of government.

So, doesn't that reinforce Liberal ideas? Why do we not trust educated people? Could a conservative please explain to me why it seems that no one who is educated is conservative? Or perhaps why conservatives don't want to be college professors?

Explain this to me please.

I full heartedly agree with Stephen Colbert when he said, "We all know reality has a liberal bias". I'm thinking it has a lot to do with that.

I was talking about politics with my friend earlier today, and he said his family has certain political views such as a group of people/board should have control and make decisions. And not a dictator or president.
I am sure it isn't communism, but what is it?

HAHAHAHA

Democratic leaders in Congress are slowly backing down from a standoff with the White House over tying war funding to a troop-withdrawal timetable, saying they can use other bills to confront President Bush on Iraq. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, is courting Republican support for compromise war-funding legislation to follow Mr. Bush's promised veto.

Liberals, owned, boned and dethroned.

What should be done about the overuse of oil? Who should implement the plan (describe the plan). What do you think should be enforced or regulated?

This is somewhat for a HW assignment. I have started with hybrid electric cars. I just need more ideas to make it longer and still make sense. Along with the government passing a higher standard for emission testing immediately. Do you have any other suggestions. Remember, WHO should DO WHAT, WHEN, and HOW.

That about right? We as Americans have no right to decide who may enter our country? With that kind of mentality it becomes clear they must feed their kids lead paint chips by the bowl like corn flakes down in Mexico, that'ts the only way someone could grow up to be that dense.
