It's called riding on the emotions of the people. Have you watched ABC news lately? Their reports are so overly dramatized because they know that people will listen if they resort to emotional disturbance and stress. Nobody will support the war if they talk about the poor soldiers in Iraq who didn't believe in what they were fighting and were forced overseas and had their whole lives ahead of them. Nobody will support "Pro-gun" if they hear about those innocent "children" killed at VT...

Why did Bush lie about Iraq and exploit the deaths of the 9/11 victims to promote this war in Iraq? Why does he exploit the troops now for the benefit of the oil industry and the military industrial complex profits? Why does he exploit the troops now by saying that we would be dishonouring the troops if we are against his policies? He's using them in the mose egregious ways by saying this. It's sick.

It's because they believe that anyone who opposes their agenda will kill, and thus if someone was killed it must have been because of someone who doesn't think like them...
Interesting note on the VT killings--no guns on campus, 33 dead (including the shooter). Two days ago in KC, some nut went in to a mall and started shooting. Guns are all over the place here--3 dead (including the shooter).
Hmmm... no guns--lots die; guns--few die.
