When libs don't have an argument they just accuse you of listening to those guys or watching Fox News.

Of course, but that's not the issue.

You're not supposed to listen to these shows and fall lock-step with everything that is said, especially in 2007, when just about everything and everyone is Google-able. Take it with a grain of salt, and then, if you question something, delve deeper into it.

People are only flashing their own close-mindedness when they pull that card...Fox News, Rush, etc. Next time, ask them when they listen. If they can make an arguement against the host's opinion based on time they spent listening to it, then fine. But for the most part (and in many instances, not just this in particular), people base their own opinions off of sound bites and quotes taken out of context. Don't limit yourself to what you do and don't read, watch or listen to, because someone has a bug up their butt about it.

However, don't drink the kool-aid, and question everything. Question your party, your reps, and even your own opinions and ideals. It's the only way to truly learn about politics, and yourself.

Sure. They're just members of the media that are just promoting or explaining their views within the conservative or republican political world.

Being conservative or belonging to a political party has little to do with who you listen to or read. It's more about your own political beliefs and understanding. Not all of these guys actually agree on everything but promote their own viewpoints.

You may well be a mainstream Republican. One who is willing to listen to other's points of view and compromise when you can. The problem is that the extremists and particularly the neocon extremists have nearly ruined your party. Those people you mention, are hate mongers whose job is to spread lies and put ideas into people's heads. It is the Karl Rove mentality of keep us in power at any cost. Well, Karl that is going to backfire big time. Too bad because many good Republicans will suffer big defeats due to this kind of thinking.

Republican since 18, how long ago was that?

I've been a Democrat since 1968. Then one had to be 21 to register to vote.

I think so, just because they are republican/conservative doesn't mean you agree with everything they say or even like them for that matter. I don't listen to all of them or agree all the time with the ones I do.

I don't listen to any of those guys either, don't watch televised news except for ESPNnews of course, the talk radio I listen to is Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick on ESPN radio.

Liberals use that tactic to discredit us because they have no reasonable responses to our national political debate. If their true views came public they would be exposed as the socialists and rabid multiculturalists that they are. I laugh every time one of those irrational morons references one of those guys, because I don't know what Rush etal has said but they seem to know it well.

Good for you!

Not all Republicans are neocons , or even conservative for that matter! Some actually think of something other than their pocketbook!

I listen to some of them. I am always up for stupidity! Makes me laugh howthey see life through rose-colored glasse! In Rush's case who knows. He is probably high most of the time. like Bush is an active alcoholic!

Definitely. I don't listen to the Bush cheerleaders and I'm pretty conservative.

I'm not a Republican either.
