Remember, they parents should know the risks that they were taking. My grandparents play by the rules to get here on a Nansen Passport. It was very hard.
Why should illegals be rewarded for breaking the law?

The parents knew the risks. Yes the children did not choose and really don't deserve the raw deal. But America is about the only country that confers citizenship though birth on it's soil.
Who is seperated? A responsible parent wants the best for their child and stays with them no matter what. No those who came here legally and never put there family in such a position deserve to have all the rights of a citizen.

If they are here illegally or commit a crime....yes. The children don't deserve it but it's the law and it's the parents fault. Having children is no excuse to break the law. The parents should have thought of that before they decided to break the law. Ignorance of the law is no excuse either. Poverty is no excuse to break the law. We have tons of citizens who are seperated from their children because they did something illegal to make their life better too. We have children seperated from their parents because they are serving their country. We have citizens being killed because of illegals who shouldn't be here and many of them have children too or are children. What about them? What about the fact that many illegals seperate their own families by comming here illegally and leaving them behind? Don't play the "child" card. Doesn't fly. These children didn't deserve to be born in poverty or be used as a "get out of jail free card" either and they didn't "deserve" to be drug through the desert or raped by smugglers or anything else they have endured. They don't deserve to be packed like sardines in a house because their parents can't manage some birth control. I didn't force you to have them, didn't ask you to come here illegally and you're free to take your kids with you when you go, because they are CHILDREN and MINORS and under the responsibility of the PARENTS until they turn 18. Even children of legal citizens pay the price for their parents behavior........save it ......that's their problem.

I assume since you are in the immigration forum- that you are musing about the possibilities and some of the realities of children of illegals being in effect orphaned by their parents because their parents entered this country illegally and if all goes well will be systematically deported .
What on Earth is stopping the children from going with them?
Children are "orphaned" by legal means all the time- check your local paper every time a mother or father is sentenced to prison because of their failure to live their lives within the confines of American law, an American child loses a parent.
If their parents made better choices they wouldn't have this problem -would they?
seems to me a case of you reap what you sow
Do foreigners have the right to be free from prosecution ?
I just don't think so.

No but if their parents are here illegally then they should be sent back home with them. It is not a matter of the children being separated why do that send the whole family home. Stop giving aid legal citizens can use. I will not see a dime of Social security or Medicare or any other benefits OUR government offer us because of all the illegal immigrants that are using this aid and we have to waste so much money discussing this or even enforcing these laws. I am sick of it send them all home. Do you know that Mexico will not hire immigrants it is illegal for anyone but a Mexican to work in Mexico. Unless you get Mexican citizenship.

If they are old enough to take care of themselves, yes. Of course not most are not. Why did this law get passed that if you were born in the United States you are a citizen, even if your parents are not. Crazy. No don't leave the kinds behind, take your children with you. Stand up and make your country what you want it to be. Stop trying to turn the U S into what you want your country to be. Stay in your land an demand changes. You can't and won't because you will be shott and so will your etire family.

If the parents came here illegally and broke the law, then YES, they do deserve to suffer the consequences of their actions. The fact of the matter is that they broke the law.
What about if someone broke into your home and they had children? They would then have to be separated from their kids while in jail for doing their crime, WHAT IS DIFFERENT? Not a thing. They are both illegal acts.

No, of course not, what an appalling suggestion. Parents should have the right to bring thier children with them when they return home, and thier governments should absolutely grant those children citizenship upon thier return, regardless of where they were born. Anything less would be terribly unfair.
I know America is a little backwards in not allowing dual citizenship, but parents should certainly have the right to renounce such citizenship on behalf of thier minor child if thier homeland also disallows dual citizenship.

Time to change the law. If your parents did not come here legally, you should not automatically become an American citizen. And if the parents are deported, their children can return with them.
Legal immigration will solve these problems. Illegal immigration will not.

Their parents should have followed the Laws.
And being born in America should not make you American, your parents should have to be American citizens. In many other countries being born there does not make you a citizen.
That the reason people come here, just for the reason you stated above, they are banking on the U.S. not separating them from their children.
Why should America waste our resources on them when all Americans are not even taken care of????

If you are referring to children of illegal immigrants, no they don't deserve to be seperated from their parents; they can just hop on the bus, train, or plane right along with their parents and head-on back to Mexico, Venezuela, Africa, China, Korea, Honduras, Ecuador, Jamaica, and any other country that I left out.
Stop trying to use emotions to get to people (first calling others racists, now this)!!
