If you believe a law is bad for society, don't you think it's better to ignore it. Or do you feel it's important to obey the authorities no matter what they tell you to do?

last fri there was a state trooper in front of my house pulling people over for speeding. i live in town in a 35 mile zone and people go 60 through there i have been begging for the police to come sit in my driveway for yrs. anyway i was so glad to see the trooper that i called his office and talked to his boss and thanked him for doing his job and how much i appriciated it. i even told him where i lived and to feel free to sit in my driveway anytime. he couldnt believe that i called him to thank him said all he ever got were calls to complain. he even called me back about 3 min later to make sure i was ok said he thought maybe someone was in my house and i was trying to get help w/o asking for it lol. doesnt anyone ever call you guys to say thanks??? if not they should i for one have great respect for all you people who work to protect us...

In light of the recent events at Virginia Tech, should there be a psychological equivalent of Megan's law at places such as universities, government agencies, etc. or would that cause a "witch hunt" effect?

Or is there already a form of this that exists, where a parent who is concerned of their child's safety, can ask the head of the school, to disclose this information?

The hell with hindsight...If I were a parent, I wouldn't care if it violated someone elses rights of privacy. I would think of it as an ultimate preventative measure or form of self defense.

are you able to sue someone that took up fundraising in your son's name and never gave you receipts for how much money there was. She took his money for a headstone and spent it on herself by taking a trip to Walt Disney World. What should I do?

What country are the best fighters in the world from in this day in age? We look to history, and we label the ancient greeks for example as the best fighters of that time. When people in the future read about the 1900's and 2000's, who will they say were the best warriors? And please people, think hard and be honest, americans dont just say america and british dont just say british, say what u truly believe. Say more than one if u feel there are more than one....

Check this out.

I just watched Patriot Games last night for the first time in a long time.

First of all, what famous bit of legislation did Bush ram down our throats after 9-11?

You guessed it -- The "Patriot Act".

The second parallel, and this is what caught my attention actually, is a line near the beginning of the movie in the pub, between the two IRA guys:

The evil one says to the other one: "You are either with us, or you are against us."

Do you remember when that line came out by President Bush? November 6, 2001.

http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/11/06/gen.attack.on.terror/

I wonder if Bush's speech writers get all their stuff from Bollywood? Or perhaps Bush forms his policy decisions based on movies?

Maybe he's been watching "Beavis and Butthead" reruns.

I've noticed over the last several weeks that Dude 1988 asks a lot of questions. What's especially telling is that he rarely chooses a best answer for the questions he asks. Then he comes back later and asks similar questions. Not only that but he keeps switching his political affiliation. Is he learning ANYTHING ???????????????????????????????????
