I've noticed over the last several weeks that Dude 1988 asks a lot of questions. What's especially telling is that he rarely chooses a best answer for the questions he asks. Then he comes back later and asks similar questions. Not only that but he keeps switching his political affiliation. Is he learning ANYTHING ???????????????????????????????????

Dude 1988, you are the first one to address the controversy in Y!A on whether it should be "alot" or "a lot". I've went to the dictionary in the past and looked this up since so many people say "alot". There is no such word. But people continue say "alot". So I've compromised and use both "alot" and "a lot". Look at my originial question, both spellings are used.
My question for you, is why do you continue to act stupid ? Just to make the rest of us look like fools ?

mountaingym, you got me there. However, while we are going back and forth criticizing each other's intelligence (which is many people's favorite activity on Y!A), I'll point out to you, that you didn't have the presence of mind to answer the question.

Maybe he is learning something if he switches his political affiliation around. Most people seem to just come on this site to pick at each other rather than actually discuss. Someone either (a) with opinions that aren't formed and are seeking information or (b) who cares enough about all sides of an issue to play devil's advocate is a refreshing change, if he is doing either thing.

and, actually, i never pick best answers for my questions, either. I'm always waiting on one more person to reply.

As a disclaimer, I know nothing about this guy, so I'm not really defending him.

On your "Additional Details" you used the phrase "I've went". Proper English is to say, "I went" or "I've gone". Does this make you look smarter? No.
