I'm reading it again and is still the most horrifying book I've ever read. The US is living it and most of us don't even realize it.

Why do people give conflicting answers for the scientific proof of these theories ?

Case in Point .. . . .A while back I asked a question about Evolution . My question was similar to 'Why is Evolution called a 'Theory' ? Well, nearly every pro-evolution answer said that 'science isn't like in the olden days and there is no longer a need to prove a theory in the lab, but rather if you can't disprove it then it's obviously correct ' . Now I know that may sound silly to some, but that is what the many answerers were saying . Personally I think they're crazy and brain-washed, so I got off of Y/A for the day, as it seemed that I couldn't get a straight answer .
The Global Warming Theory is not the same, but it is similar in nature . With GW people like to quote specific scientists, while ignoring others . Are all the 'others' lying ? Are they ALL paid-off ? What kinda world-wide conspiracy would that be ?

What we do about it is up to us . Since 80% of the water that we need to live is used for agriculture And the other 20% on showers and laundry , dishes and washing our car's we may want to consider converting salt water into fresh water .
So as the oceans rise we just drain off some to spread around on the land which will return to the oceans .
Large solar powered plants could be built that would provide fresh water and excess power for homes if done properly . Dozens of plans exist and picking one would do us no harm at all . For the price of one Nuclear powered aircraft carrier we could light A city for 30 years and provide it with fresh water .
It could grow more food then needed and the excess sold could pay back the cost in a matter of 5 years . It could irrigate forests to promote maximum growth and a faster harvest to provide wood for homes and other products .
The benefits of proper management of resources combined with recycling would improve life for all of us .

Do you think President Bush has made us safe through the Creation of the Department of Homeland Security? Or, do you think we're safer now because of Bush's audacious military campaigns in Afghanistan, and Iraq?

People in the movie industry have been given so much...they have looks, money, talent. But many of them keep this money to themselves instead of giving it out. Now dont give me an example of 2 or 3 actors or actresses that do, because there are more than that that have the capability but reall dont. If I were a strong voice for the people of India, and had political connections, do you think it would be possible to convince some of these bollywood folk to contribute to the less priveleged?

The cashier stated that it was in her rights to refuse to sell energy drinks to children even though the major gas station chain (corp) has no policy on that matter. How wrong was she? I don't usually let my 14 year old daughter drink energy drinks but she was not with me at the time. What would you do in this case? I am interested in all views and opinions.

I always wonder, why so many people get offended, when one questions the military. After all, there are many lies, unneccesary cover ups, corruption and greed abound in the Pentagon. Over 1 Trillion tax payer dollars have disappeared under Bush/Rumsfeld. Should we all shut up and let them do, what they want, without any control? Isn't that the end of democracy?

I see many people saying that one of the reasons we need illegal aliens in the U.S. is to "do the jobs Americans won't do". My question is to the U.S. citizens and legal immigrants - if you really need a job, are you "above" any type of work? Or would you do anything necessary to support yourself and you family?

Is it ironic that she says were becoming Nazi Germany despite the fact that she is allowed to go on national TV everyday and suggest our government engineered the murder of 3000 civilians and planned the worst attack on Ameican soil in over half a century? Is her own flapping gums proof otherwise?

Before I go into details, let me begin by giving you a background. I own a small business and employ 3 full time people. If the government raises my taxes, guess what, I'd have to let at least one of those people go. There are months when I don't take a paycheck because my employees must be paid, quarterly taxes must be paid, bills and expenses have to be paid.

My point is this: The upper class provides jobs for the lower class. Taxing us more is going to cut off the nose of the little guy because I won't be able to afford to keep you employed.

So why do people think that the upper class should be taxed extra? I'm really interested to hear it.

Heard Snoop Doggs reaction about the comparison between Don Imus's comments and his music. He talked that his music comes from his soul.

Does he realize what a statement that makes? Does he realize that he just said that his soul is such a cesspool? Is he admitting that hip hop art is a moral black hole?
