Excellent question!
I wish I had a say in where my taxes go. Let all the conservatives put all their taxes in the "war on terrorism" and I'll give mine to environmental issues, education and healthcare.

Here is the gist of your question:
1 - You don't like the military, you do not agree with the Constitution Preamble that provides for the common defense.
2 - You do not like business that make a profit, you do not agree with the Constitution Preamble about the blessings of liberty.
3 - You do not believe that people should be able to make a profit and keep the wealth that they produce. That is what you call "lining their pockets."
4 - You did not describe the "benefit" that you want from other people's money, taken by the government under the threat of men with guns...but I suspect it is a redistribution of wealth.

You have social security, medicare, federally backed bank accounts, a public school system, government subsidized hospitals, colleges....... we are a socialist country... to an extent. If you go to, say, Switzerland, they have healthcare for everyone.
Very good healthcare. You go to any doctor you want, and the doctors are excellent. Same goes for France, Germany, etc.
Every time I hear a arguement against universal (not national) health care, I hear people say we won't be able to choose a doctor, or we will have to wait in line for treatment. Look at medicare. That's how it is only with better coverage.

Hey I fully expect that all my taxes will end up in the pockets of investors and corporations like haliburton .
This is how the system is set up . It takes from the poor and gives to those with an education and experience to put it to good use .
Get use to it .
We are to stupid to know whats best for us and Uncle sammy is going to do it for us .

Actually states with nos tate tax for example or lower taxes actually make mroe money adn everyone gets more wealth. Socialism is like communism, it looks good on paper but does not actually make things better in the long run.

No - socialism is the system in which going to the doctor, or the supermarket or the gas station, gives you exactly the same experience as going to the motor vehicle department. If that's what you're hoping for , better go first to a competent mental health professional, unless of course Ms. Hillary has already started rationing them.
