If his music really does come from his soul, I guess that commercial he did for Orbit gum might have given him an idea of the fate that awaits him after death.:)

This "issue" has been reduced to a specific person and a specific comment. Much debate has been made over it.
It side steps the more fundamental issue of freedom of speech and the affect, and power over free speech that political correctness has brought about.
I wonder where are the lovers of freedom and liberty in denoucing what he said while at the same time defending his right to say it without fear of being punished for it.

Well, if that is the case, no one should take Imus' comment seriously since it didn't 'come from the soul' like Snoop's did.

Hip Hop really is a moral black hole.
Like Rush Limbaugh, it is a reation to "white liberals'' from the grungy 1990s.
Both hate rich socially tolerant whitey in a way

let me remind you that his soul has been conditioned by violence and corruption in the ghetto. real music is about love not killing people and degrading women. that is not part of my culture. why would anyone listen to an old azz man with stringy hair wearing too much make up (Imus) and a birdlooking skinny, wanna be pimp who got banned from Uk?

I know what you mean!
We're supposed to be MORE understanding of his lyrics because they are reflections of his sincere beliefs?
Sounds like he indeed has "issues."
I would respect him more in a way if he came out and said "I only write it because it sells, and that's not who I really am."
I'm sure that some skinhead bands write from the soul too, but that doesn't mean I don't find them disgusting too.

Snoop Dogg has been in prison more than once....I would hardly look to him for moral guidance.
