American Troops,
Thank you for the sacrifices you make. I have close friends who have served or are serving in Iraq and I know what you do is not easy and often unappreciated. I personally do not support the current administrations policies but you have my full support. If someone wants to insult our Government, politics including my own political view points fine they can do that it is their right. What I will not and cannot tolerate is insults towards the noble men and women who put there lives on the line for a better tommorow. There are war opponents that groan and moan about how we should have never invaded Iraq and how our presence there is only making things worse. These people need to take into perspective the horrors that you work in and that it is honorable not to turn your back on the Iraqi people. So I thank you for all that you have done and all that you are doing and I appologize for those who ignorantly run your names in the mud.

After the Clinton impeachment, who got the shaft, Hillary his wife, or Gore his V.P.?

I think Hillary came out smelling like a rose even though she was the target of his extra marital affairs. Gore was kind of like the ring around the bath-tub after a tree hugger takes a bath. What are your thoughts?

As a Red Sox fan saying I support the Red Sox but do not want to fund Schilling's efforts is essentially what you guys are saying.

I support the Colts, but they should stop paying Manning.

I support the troops, but let's not fund them.

Why can't people see how stupid that is? It seems pretty blatant to me.

Today he said that, by withholding funds from the troops (which Congress is NOT doing, by the way), Congress is actually forcing troops to stay in combat longer, and forcing other troops to return to combat sooner.

How is this possible? What money pays for this, since Congress is "withholding funding"?

Yes, I know, Reid threatened to withhold funding, but right now, nothing is bring withheld, so let's deal with the facts as they are, okay? And I'm looking for rational answers, not party-bashing. Explain, rationally, how the bill Congress passed is going to result in more troops having to be there, and for a longer period of time.

Anyone?

coming into the US but it also stops millions of illegal immigrants, in the US already, from ever leaving the US to go back to Mexico?

Millions of illegal immigrants "commute" between the US & Mexico every year but with added US border security they will have no choice but to stay in the US permanently. Is that what Americans want?

the public schools system in this country is abismal. they take a bunch of tax and federal money, but that mostly lines the teachers and administrators pockets (at least in my town, when we vote more money to schools, teachers strike for pay raises) i think the schools are a joke, im homeschooling my children, and yes i have a teaching degree, or will when she starts my classes.....

i just think that maybe the money would be better spent on defense or something else...because the liberal garbage that they are filling our children with isnt even knowledge............and all that money, down the toilet. our children are our future.....so maybe they deserve better than the current system..../

thoughts?

teachers in my area make almost 50k a year...cops make less than 35.............and mpost of the kids in my area run into cops more than their teachers, lol...

I have been having smyptoms of clinical depression for a while now an ever since I joined the military six months ago its gotten. Now Im ready to go to medical and talk to a doctor about it. The only problem is im worried that I could possibly be given a seperation for depression which I dont want and Im not sure how my chain of command would react to antidepressents since I am in the Security Forces as my rate. Will the Navy allow me to keep my rate on antidepressents and not seperate me from service?

please none of this "ticking time bomb" nonsense. You either think torture is OK or you don't. And lets not redefine the definition of torture to fit into your pea-sized brains.

That alone implies that we should all dissent and then we're all patriotic. . .HOGWASH

There'd never be agreement on anything. . there'd constantly be unrest, the Senate and Congress would never get anything done, and it only promotes hatred and strife !!

Simply showing dissent just for the sake of showing dissent, does NOT equate with patriotism. . . but it does equate with bickering, childishness, insolence, hatred, anarchy, and civil unrest !!
Is that what you really want. .. . and just who the heck is responsible for lying to our Liberal people and. . . . . .. . How the heck did they but into such utter foolishness ?

Since you claim that to disagree with Bush and his war makes me unpatriotic, does that mean you blindly support EVERY President and his policies, or does this apply only when you are of the same political persuasion as the President?

I'm curious about hypocrisy, here.

Immigrants come for a better life. A better life translates into SUVs, air conditioners, washing machines, etc. Energy consumption and air pollutants will multiply in proportion to population growth. Therefore would it not be in our best interest to close the boarders and deport all the illegals? At least then we could control our noxious C02 output proportionately--right?

When they pose as "liberals" with a "careless" attitude toward abortion with sick joke questions like this:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070403080214AASElZ5&r=w&pa=FZptHWf.BGRX3OFMhjFTUZkGxczcGMlrjWc6y0hRMaE28jGigw--&paid=answered#QaF6KzfdMHRJX5Fbcdul

Why are they trying to hide the desperation and painful decision making that goes into a woman actually getting an abortion? And wouldnt it be disrespectful to very "babies" they are trying to "save" in the first place?

I live in Arkansas, and the legislature has talked about passing a bill requiring that our representatives in the Electoral College vote for the person who has won the majority of the national vote, regardless of the number of Arkansas residents who voted for this person. I think this is a horrible idea, because to say the least, it is undemocratic.
