Because this is their idea of "doing something". So they can say "We tried but the President won't let us..." Whine, whine, whine. Their heads are in the sand and they really don't care about solving anything, they just like to stir things up.

Iraqs oil should start funding Iraqs reconstruction. Set up embassies and bring the majority of the troops home so they can try to live a normal life. Tax money should be spent on better things. You are to brainwashed to know the difference.
Bush doesnt even want to work with Iraqs' neighbors when they are the only ones that will have a real impact on the outcome of Iraq. War will not solve it.

How exactly would you propose to put an end to this conflict? Oh, pardon me, I guess you have no intention of actually "ending" it. We'll just go from one middle east country to the next like Gen. Sherman, eh?
Pack it up, get the hell out, end the wasting of lives, give them some food or tech support if you want, but this mess isn't going to be resolved and I have yet to see anyone in the administration that has a really viable plan for resolving it, other than "more of the same."
Sorry if you fantasize that we can "win" every war we get ourselves into.
People in the middle east have been at one another's throats for centuries; they don't need us to complicate the situation.
Give them whatever kind of humanitarian support you want; just get the hell out.
Try as much diplomacy as you can handle. Drop smart bombs wherever you think it's necessary, but this ground war is going nowhere.
The whole situation has just become a big fat tick that's draining us as a country; our resources, our taxes and our men.

Why do cons say that they "support the troops" when they support Bush for getting us into the middle of the Islamic ideological conflict in the middle east? Why do you support Bush when he says he will not bend to the will of the people now, because his actions have created a terrorist haven in Iraq? Why?

Because one of OUR soldiers dying to protect Iraqis from other Iraqis is an atrocity. Forcing a withdrawal by removing funding returns them hove alive. Forcing them to stay and risk their lives just make me sad for them and their families.
Our troops have a right to live.

Liberals believe that supporting the troops means KEEPING THEM ALIVE.
Righties believe supporting the troops means saying - "Wasn't That a Lovely Funeral?"

Because they all do the flip-flop, all the time. I love it that they only attributed that to Kerry. How long before that Nevada Grand Jury indicts Reid anyway? Dirty Harry belongs behind bars.

if you really want to support our troops you need to:
1. take that damn sticker off your car
2. go to Iraq
3. go to every funeral of every dead soldier coming back from Iraq
4. help the families of our dead soldiers
5. go to the hospitals and rehabilitation clinics that our mutilated soldiers find themselves in from the debacle in Iraq
6. vote for politicians who have a real plan to get our military out of Iraq!!!!!!
