coming into the US but it also stops millions of illegal immigrants, in the US already, from ever leaving the US to go back to Mexico?

Millions of illegal immigrants "commute" between the US & Mexico every year but with added US border security they will have no choice but to stay in the US permanently. Is that what Americans want?

Yes that is exactly what we want, a secure border. With new laws we WILL get passed sending employers to hard jail time for hiring illegals we will dry up their job opportunities and starve them to death.

I disagree. If they got here illegally once, they can do it again. Believe me I see the problems on a daily basis....they will not stop coming!!

I don't care if you have Border Patrol Agents holding hands along the border.

It is a huge problem...bigger than most of the people on here realize. Instead of going to Vail or Martha's Vineyard on your next vacations, come down to the border and see the problems first hand.

It will change your mind and life forever!!

Bull. If someone is here legally, they can come and go as they need to. A wall would stop the people sneaking across, that's all. Are you saying that the legitimate travellers go run across the border? No, I think they go by car or plane, and through the necessary processing - just as all travellers do. You think a wall wouldn't have pass points for those with legitimate documentation?

So, by protecting the border it's the US's fault that we have so many illegal immigrants here? C'mon, give me a break!
Just like it's our fault that Mexico's econoomy sucks (NAFTA). What else are you guys going ot blame the US for?

An illegal can be allowed to leave without penalty so yoru point is really pointless.
The only ones who would fear leavin are the ones who intend on comin gack illegally again.

I think the Anti's want that combined with more deportations. Nobody is expecting them to just decide to leave and not come back.

No, but if it is combined with true enforcement there will be no reason for them to stay and every reason for them to leave. It is only one piece.

If you don't think it would work, why does it bother you?

Great point...something the supproters no doubt failed to realize! But then they would use the old 'deportation' line and think they are winning, but alas they still wont because if the dangerous river/desert doesnt stop them, climbing or digging under a fence wont avert them either.
