Even if he wanted to, the President does not have the power to unilaterally change the Constitution. The procedure for changing the Constitution is called an Amendment and is governed by Article V of the Constitution of the United States. There are two ways to propose an Amendment to the Constitution, a two thirds vote of both Houses of Congress or by the vote of two thirds of state legislatures. The amendment must then be approved by three fourths of the states to be ratified. The President can neither propose an amendment nor unilaterally amend the Constitution.

Of course not. Changing the Constitution is a prolonged process that would last far beyond the end of his tour even if the modification eventually went through. And such a change, based on the electorates current feeling towards Mr. Bush, would never pass.

The President does not have the power to change the Constitution. Only Congress by majority vote can change the Constitution.
Any grade-school graduate knows that.
A silly question designed to do nothing but stir up trouble.

Funny how the republican congress voted to change that after FDR's unprecedented 4 elected terms in office and limit it to 2 terms. Yet, while Regan was in office, there was talk by the republicans fo changing it back to being able to be elected as many times as possible.

Bush does not care what the Constitution says anyway, so why should he bother to change it?
