Don't know how to adequately answer your question, but I would add that many of the same people who pontificate against abortion are also the SAME people who would deny teens access to contraception.
That's right. Our teen pregnancy rate is the highest on the planet, and 9X higher than the Netherlands where they take sex education seriously.
So...what's the solution? Cry about how bad abortion is, but allow careless, unwanted pregnancies to just continue?
Ohhhh....I forgot about that fantasy thing called "abstinence." Hey, you might get lucky and get some kids on board with that, but not many.
Personally, I believe that most abortions are the result of a careless pregnancy, at any age.
If there were a way to implement it, I would allow every female citizen ONE (and only one) abortion. The next time, they get sterilized, and - if we can identify the man involved via DNA - he gets clipped, too.
Contraception is NOT rocket science, and since it takes two people to spawn a pregnancy, I cannot accept that neither one of them was capable of using any ONE of the contraceptive methods available today.
So, as I said, cry about abortion if you want to, but you'd better make contraception available to everyone. Reduce careless pregnancies, help reduce abortions, and likely reduce some STDs while you're at it.

The question you refer to was written by an idiot. Do not assume he has any agenda other than to irritate people.
I want you to think about what YOU just wrote. Why would an abortion be a painful decision if abortion was a good thing?
If it is not a good thing then why is it permitted? Even Hillary Clinton is on record stating that abortion should be rare. Rare? Why should abortions be rare? I thought the Supreme Court said it is a right? Why should any right be "rare"? Why should exercising any right be "painful'?
Believe me, for all but the most callous women, abortion is emotionally devastating. Why do we not openly admit this?
I believe abortion does far more harm than good. I cannot say the same about any other right granted by the Constitution. I desire to protect the unborn from death and protect their mothers from making a decision that will haunt them the rest of their lives.
I have seen far too many women see a child and burst into tears. I have seen far too many women meet a young person and be haunted by the thought that their aborted child would now be this age.
It is indeed a painful decision to end a pregnancy. How much better if one chooses not too?

Yes, by all means take them seriously, then make your own decisions. You will make better decisions when you have more information, good or bad. Only feel compelled to jump on your own band wagon, but get all the facts (and fictions) first. The link in your question shows that some people are revolting. Just ignore the stupid.

that was disturbing. all i can say is ppl make the mistake of seeing one retarded person with a viewpoint and tagging it to everyone with that view point. It's downright annoying, you say "they", when this was one disturbing person, not the whole group.
I whole heartedly believe KILLING, your child is murder and wrong. i think ppl have made abortion out to be the only thing that can be done, when the real caring loving thing a women could do if she is unable to care for her child is give birth to it, and set it up for adoption and give it to one of the hundreds of thousands of families that want children. KILLING YOUR BABY IS NOT THE ONLY WAY OUT. but plan parenthood and all these ppl wouldn't want u to believe that. they want to get the girls when their frightened and thinking the only thing they can do is to kill their child. How about this America, how about you stop doing the thing that makes babies if you are unable to care for a baby. It's so frustrating......morality in the end is the cure to most of these problems. there are some cases where it's been a crime and a baby is conceived but even still the child is just as innocent as the mother....Pick adoption not murder.

People of present day act as though all of us are children and have to SPEAK for everyone else. All these attitudes come out of the mouths of the age of the 60's and all the drug addicts that were going to CHANGE the world. They have a word for those who wish to dictate their will upon others. It's called "communism................."

Having a doctor drill a hole into or crushing a baby's skull, inserting a tube and suctioning out his or her brain in order to kill him or her is "disrespectful." Personally, I pray for both the babies and women involved.

How can you take a ideology that says it's someone's choice to kill an innocent child seriously? How can you take an ideology that promotes irresponsibility seriously?
