They don't care about the temperature of the earth, except that it provides them with an excuse to collect more tax money.

Warmer temperatures and less water, you mean? Ok, conservatives, have fun growing the food crops with less water. Only some parts of the world will be able to grow crops better, while most of the world will have less water to grow crops. Temperatures won't matter.
And last I checked, it seems like the conservatives are starting to slowly agree with the liberal point of view!

Well on true christian conservative should be worried and maybe ask themselves if there is any truth to the warming of the climate and the food supply. Been a long time since I have thumped through a bible but I do recall reading something about famine throughout the world. I also recall something about huge changes in the weather. All signs that the end was approaching.
Just might not be Global Warming, might be God's Warning!

That is not quite true, with global warming the environment changes and this leads to growth of new plant species. if you use the Napa valley as an example, changes in the temperature will have a drastic and possible devastating affect on the wine industry.
The Northern states would benefit more from a heated environment and the southern states would get colder as the poles shift. So the trend in global warming is the reverse, if it's warm where you live, it will bEcome colder and your environment will experience a changing eco system that is more in line with the temperature.
Peace

Yes, you are correct. In fact Scientific American, back in the eighties featured an article, "World's Greatest Weather Experiment," that intoned intentional warming of the planet to increase grain production.
Seem to recall the article featured a photo showing industrial pollutants discharging from stacks from some industrial area.

You're not completely right. Some crops need a few cool nights and some, like red winter wheat, need a winter blanket of snow. Most living things need melting snow to provide a steady supply of fresh water. Open your mind to the whole spectrum of life instead of a narrow trough. It's not all lib vs con.

One theory is that when the CO2 increase food production will increase. Increase temperature and increase CO2 would make farms more productive and would soak up the extra CO2 to help balance the atmosphere. There is one basic hole in the theory. Rain patterns would be distorted. YOu can't increase crop production with out water and we are already in a worldwide water shortage.
TO answer your questions, Rice and Corn. Oh my god, that means the Mexicans and Chinese will take over .

Ah - phase three of conservative denial.
Phase 1: "There is no global warming"
Phase 2: "There is global warming, but humans have nothing to do with it"
Phase 3: "There is global warming, and we may be contributing to it, but it's really good for us"
Phase 4: (coming soon, I expect) "It's all Clinton's fault"
But to answer your "question" - you might actually be right -- if farms were portable. The problem is that the world has established farming infrastructure in places where farming is good NOW. If those places stop being good for farms, we're in trouble, even if other places become better.

I will tell them.
Hey Liberals, when humanity is all dead from the global climate changes that President Bush warned us about in his State of the Union Address, the food crops will grow better.

Not if the area of those crops becomes a colder or cold zone due to the change in atmosphere. And, also, not if the annual amount of rain changes as well.

No, but I will educate them about natural climate change and the influence of the sun on the solar system. If they don't like the heat where they are they can always move to Alaska, it was very temperate during the last ice age.
