If the automatic program puts this in Politics, I'm gonna keep it there.
What has always impressed me since I started participating in verious chat borads is how much PERSONALITY comes through in the printed word. We do reveal a lot about ourselves - personal experiences, temperament, etc. - in addition to just answering the questions.
What are your thoughts on this? Are there posters whose "personalities" you like even though you disagree with their politics? Or, perhaps more importantly, vice-versa? Do people get too "chummy" here - does it affect awarding a best answer? (Is that a bad thing? Since Yahoo added the "contacts" feature the same people's questions show up.)
Do you feel grateful when people spend the time to answer your questions? I do. Do you agonize over being "fair" in awarding the best answer? Do you wish you could split the points sometimes?
Am I thinking about this too much?
Any answers welcome. Thanks.
