The U.S. government is the only government in the world made for the benefit of businesses – so said (to that effect) Cramer the popular stock analyst in January. Bet he caught hell for that!

To answer your question, with our government, policy is made to benefit businesses – and the largest businesses usually have the most influential say in policy-making process – and usually to the detriment of large segments of the public: their health, pay, working safety, child care... the list is endless. While bribery is illegal, in a simplified sense, yes, policy-making decisions are easily purchased in one way or another. And that, for me and most people, is called CORRUPTION.

EVEN knowing the absurd profits made by the largest businesses, Congress still refuses to limit their size, their profits, nor have them be held responsible for the toxic products and by-products created in the production process.

Time for a rapid economic revolution, and the less Congress has to do with it, the better - because the 'democracy' we have now, simply doesn't work and it's getting worse and worse particularly with this *danbalmle* Bush Administration.

Federal Reserve is not owned by the US govt and neither is the IRS.
I think they have ties to Great Britian so your govt already sold out long ago about the time of WW II.
