Over the last 300 hundred years, the US has been unable to define a foreign policy, should it turn to the EU in order for them to define a set of principles for them to adopt. It seems the only way is by the gun and bomb. Does this need a European solution?

Wow...the US had a foreign policy before the country even came into existence?
The EU's foreign policy of "turning tail" and run wouldn't work for Americans.

No...the European solution would be to surrender to Islamo Facism which they are already doing to a large extent in France and the Netherlands. If it were not for US Foreign policy during WWII there would be no EU and you would be posting your comments on Yahoo Answers Germany in German.

I'm sorry to be the one to inform you that Europe practically committed suicide by the gun and bomb. If not for the enlightened leadership of US foreign policy, they probably would have succeeded. I personally think that the USA needs to return to the wise recommendation of George Washington and stop getting involved in the ancient conflicts that afflict this world.

We have been waiting for the EU to get a pair of balls and do ANYTHING in the world and they haven't stood up, yet.

PLEASE! DO SOMETHING!

Why did the EU allow the genocide in Bosnia? You didn't do ANYTHING about it so the US went in. What was your plan for Kosovo? You didn't have one? The US had to go in.

Let's look at the Middle East, since you want to rag on the US. Who was it that cut and parcelled the arbitrary borders to the Middle East? Europe.

Who colonialize Viet Nam?

Europe.

I HARDLY think the EU can say a thing about the US policies.

The European solution is appeasement and cowardice . Do you want America to be another Spain or Italy ? One bomb and they surrender. I have a great respect for European history. Our beginnings were European. But Europe lost its backbone. One shot and a whole nation is ready to surrender. That's not the US.

I think you're trying to appear clever, but failing miserably.

I can assure you that any attempt by Europe to run our foreign policy will be met with evidence of the existence of our foreign policy.

Sure, The U.S. needs a vacation and we are tired of everyone treating us like a dog by kicking us every chance they disagree with us. So let the EU's and the Asian countries take care of other countries problems and then the US can start complaining about their pisspoor performance.

Good Question. After the following:
Vietnam,
Cold War,
Bay of Pigs,
Watergate,
Gulf War,
Arms to rebels Afganistan,
Blowing up the their own trade towers (inside job),
Oliver North Scandal,
Star Wars plan,
War on so called terror,
Somalia,
Ignoring the UN over WMD's,
Proliferation of Nuclear weapons,
Dropping out of Kyoto agreement,
Giving weapons to Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, South Vietnamese,
Supporting Pinochet and other dictators,
Ignoring the plight of millions of starving africans in order to increase their stealth bomber fleet,
Cuban Missile crisis,
Donald Rumsfeld,
Death toll in Iraq to date,
Chinese, Iranian and European relations....
need me to go on?

Ok the Europeans have had two world wars. However..their foreign policy believes more in promoting ecomonmic welfare rather than blowing the crap out of innocent women and childeran in Iraq. So yes, bring in the Europeans...if it wasnt for them America would not exist in the first place..America is the spawn of Europe...about time the europeans sorted out the mess they left in the first place.
