My husband wants to adopt my 14 year old son, his biological father is all for it too. We really do not have the 4000 dollars to pay an attorney. I have heard of people doing it themselves. Can anyone tell me how this is done, and what we have to do to get started on it? The state we live in is Louisiana.

If only one half of the military helicopters had their weapons removed and our UN and USA leaders began discussing how to use those helicopters to actually help people with infrastructure with that technology, what would your suggestion
be? What did we learn about helicopters in New Orleans after the big hurricane? They are not just for warfare?

a "mercenary army" made up of mostly US private contractors . Bush basically bought himself his own private army/ally because he couldn't get enough regular allies to help him in Iraq. So why doesn't he just buy a full private mercenary army to replace US troops in Iraq? Then no one will care who gets killed & no regular US troops will be hurt or killed?

The anti-war protestors carrying their YELLOW signs (showing their true color) were out numbered 3-1 at the rally this past weekend. The supporters for the US troops showed their true colors too, Red , White and Blue.

i been repoted that i was ketso prenic not even true. i receive a letter according to my child not founded abusing neglecting etc but the case still open now they want follow up visit monthly then they come up pychological evaluation then drug test this is very annoying i was reported the person that i know.dyps even look my medical record to my doctor. can dyps do want do they want to do.it been a stress weeks what i can do so they can be done with it. i have no idea what else they want .what is my right?

I would understand - not necessarily agree with but understand - if you wanted to raise tax rates on the "rich" - like, actual rich people, as in, incomes above a million dollars a year - - - and further reduce tax rates on the rest of us.

But that's not what your side puts in place or fights for.

When Clinton raised the top marginal rate it affected households with $80K of income. You opposed Bush's tax cut entirely, rather than say "let's keep the higher rates for people making over "1 million dollars a year."

In the name of not wanting "the benefit to go to the super-rich" you oppose the whole tax cut - you throw the baby out with the bath water.

How about a deal - make the tax cuts permanent for incomes and capital gains under $1MM per year and let the tax rates go back up for incomes and capital gainst above $1MM - - -with the first $1MM still covered by the tax cuts.

That way white collar couples and onstruction workers in a good year still get the tax cut. OK?

There was a Lynx crash last night at 6pm in Northern Ireland. Four police and two army soldiers. Three police were let out of hospital today and the other police officer has bad back injures. The two army people are still in hospital but they have not said what injures they have. Why is this not on the new again today only last night for about 2 mins.
My mate was in that crash, he is ok but still in hospital with head injures. Why is this not import but NCampbell is hitting the news as she throw a mobile phone at her maid that is not nothing compared to what my friend is going through. What is the news coming too now a days?

After 12 years of Republican government control, including 6 years of Bush, do you mean to tell me that the Republicans haven't delivered on their promise to force women to give birth rather than abort? After all that time, doesn't it occur to the antiabortionist that someone has been yanking your chain? Isn't it about time to seek real solutions rather than continue to listen to political preachers tell you to simply enlist the government to force women to behave as you see fit?
Or has it become too difficult for Christians to use persuasion rather than force?

The truth is that, regardless of what the people might decide through their votes, the final sayso is in the hands of the electoral college. Our government is controlled by special interest groups and our decisions are made for us. 200 years ago our founding forefathers would have been enraged. What can we do though while everyone is struggling to survive in a country where money makes all the decisions?

Republicans = pro-life, Intelligent Design, lower taxes, strong defense, school vouchers, anti-gay marriage, war against terror, smaller government, states rights, secure borders, and drilling in ANWAR.

Democrats = prochoice, Evolution, higher taxes, smaller defense but stronger UN ties, federally controlled schools, gay marriage, negotiations as way to handle terrorism, bigger government, federalism, open borders, no new oil well drilling.

At one time the country always came together in a time of war. Politics were put aside, and everyone was an American. Now it seems that no matter what our country faces, the facts are twisted and adulterated in a way to make the other party look bad, no matter the cost to our country. Isn't there anyone who puts America ahead of their respective political party anymore?

I'm not being flip. I'm totally serious.

Terrorism is scary because you can't see it. You can't put a face to it. You can't tell by looking at a terrorist that he or she is the enemy. You can't tell by talking to them. They're well-versed liars. You could have a conversation with a terrorist on the train on the way to work in the morning and not even realize it. A terrorist can wrap himself in whatever flag is necessary to further his cause. Deception and manipulation are the tools of their trade. For this reason, terrorists are invisible. They look and sound just like you and me.

But they're not.

That's why it's scary.

So how does an army defeat that?
