Just thought all of those who think that Iraqis feel good about where the country is headed, should check it out. I tried to use the BBC and ABC polls to illustrate this point, and was told they work for the dems (?). So is it correct? Or does USA today work for the dems as well?

I doubt if the statistics are lying. It is easy for us to sit in the relative safety and comfort of the United States and try to judge the mindset of the average Iraqi. The fact that we base those opinions on our own mindset without a real understanding for how the Iraqi thinks is a paradox of little consequence for too many. I do believe that given the choice between oppression and freedom, most people will choose freedom. However, endless war does not promote the illusion of freedom. So I think that the new polls adequately represent a frustration most of us couldn't begin to understand. The longer we remain in this country without forcing the Iraqis to take a major part in their own security and future, the more the discord will grow. Whether you support the war or not, we are heading for a crossroads in this affair, because at some point we run the risk of having the entire Iraqi population turn against us, based on the fact that we will appear to be an occupier instead of a liberator. We are beginning to overstay our welcome in Iraq and these polls are a sign of that fact. I believe we should complete the mission, but we better do it sooner rather than later.

It's amazing that some people would actually think that the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation works for the Democrats! It's actually funded by the British taxpayers, but interestingly enough, Rupert Murdoch actually once complained to Tony Blair that the BBC leaned too far to the left. Oh, well! I guess not everyone can be Fox!:)

Funny because I read a poll that said over 67% of Iraqis are more satisfied with the new government and would rather have this than go back to Saddam's. In fact there are many Sunni's that are turning on the insurgents. You won't see that in your liberal papers either. You sole agenda is to see America lose and if you can't do it with power you are trying to do it with ignorant media reports. I feel sorry for you.

Every item most conservatives read or hear that they don't agree with is labeled as Democratic propaganda.

Once in a while,I'll read something on Fox's web site that I agree with,or even the Washington Times.

I've never relied on one point of view,or on what are termed "Liberal" media outlets.

It really seems that conservatives are afraid to question what Fox or conservative radio says, because it would also question their point of view. That's really sad.An American should be the first to question his leaders and their messengers.

I disagree with quite a bit of what my side puts forth. It's the nature of Americanism.

Hitchheidi, you should know by now that you confuse repuglicans when you present facts to them, they are used to faux news and Rush Limbaugh lying to them. I guess the lesson in this is never try to reason with them as they are deluded and misguided by their so called fair and balanced media.
