I don't know any of the statistics on this subject
But-- if you're the one crunching the numbers here
count me in for a YES vote
I think it should be reserved for the absolute worse
cases of criminal activity--- but I do believe in it for
those cases and after a reasonable appeals process
say two to three years--- I believe in carrying out the sentence
with rapid dispatch !!!!!

Come on...college English..do you want an answer as a ratio? That's research and you have gotta do it yourself.

However, I am happy to give my opinion that I am very much against the death penalty. Under no circumstances is it acceptable. A society that uses it cannot claim moral superiority over the criminal.

In my country, we don't have it. A number of high profile cases have found convicted killers innocent after DNA came into use. Whew.

Death Penalty is decided on a State by State Basis. There are currently only 9 that do not have the death penalty. Missouri banned it then turned right around and instituted it again.
