My husband is an Active Duty Marine, and why they send them over there, and they tell them, no, dont fight, is useless, and men are dying for no reason.
Most of them could defend themselves, but cant, do to the Geneva Convention.

This is the reason my husband will not sign up for another 4 years... the Marines were doing their JOB and now that they are being jailed for that is WRONG. America needs to take a look at it's history (further back then Vietnam) and realize that it's WAR, not a play date to "make sure everyone is ok". The Marines are taught to survive, to kill, to get the job done. If they were allowed to do their job then it would be over with. The fact is that no one in this country would have a problem with this war except the media is involved in bias, and we are not a war patient nation. I guarantee that if we would have done the job in the beginning and then left (instead of having a false victory clamed) no one would be whining about what happened now. The fault within this war system is that the government is trying to be politically correct on an issue that there should be no such word uses. There is no political correctness in war, but it seems a few in the government and the American population dont understand this.

Get a grip. Bush is silent because the marine is up on charges. The marine screwed up the Rules of Engagement. He will be dealt with appropriatly by the UCMJ.
If the marines can ignore the ROE's and the UCMJ - how are they any different from a Iraqi Militia? They are different because the rule of law comes first.

The Marines are up on charges because they committed a crime.
I briefed and explained the ROE almost daily during my tour in Iraq and if somebody has a problem with the ROE - can they please point out the specific part they disagree with?
I get the impression that 99% of the people complaining about the ROE have no clue what the ROE says.

First do remember this. The Iraq war is based on lies and the USA should not be in Iraq. The Republicans do not care about the average man and woman in uniform. You must live with that.
