Its been a life long dream of mine to become a marine and I've told my parentsand they're cool with it. I heard about how bad it gets in the summer and I was wondering if you all think I could be done with the ASVAB MEPS and taking the oath and also be shipped for training ASAP. I really want to go now while its relativley cool and not flooded with hs students lol

I'm 18. and I have a year of college.

I'm generally a very conservative thinker and voter. I voted for President Bush, Pat Buchanan, and was a huge Rick Santorum follower (I won't lie), but I'm really happy Bush's time is coming to an end. I honestly haven't seen such a disaster in a Cabinet and administration since Bill Clinton's first term. I get tired of hearing about the hundreds of troops getting killed daily. I'm not anti-war by any means, but right now I am just beginning to think that he's just trying to give his father street credit (no i'm not brainwashed by the "liberal media"). What are your thoughts? Maybe I'm just ready for a drastic change in the way our government is run. I'm also not a "feminazi" but I'm starting to think that white males have really been screwing up our government since Reagan's term was up.

What do you think about Al Gore's film (not a documentary) about global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth". Personally I think its a bunch of hogwash and that he is a hypocrite. Did you know that he uses more energy then 10 households? Also he likes to drive SUVs? Does this sound like a worried 'environmentalist? I think not.

it seems like everybody who isn't over there fighting are the people complaining. okay. so this is taking alot longer than we thought and were dying for a different country, i get it. but we just took out what could have been the next adolf hitler. He was a dictator and involved in terrorism, and we helped out a LOT of people by doing so. and because we did, the country was left without a leader so if we left the country would have nothing and it would be chaos just so a terrorist could take over. I DONT THINK WAR IS RIGHT IN ANY CASE BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING WHEN THE SOLDIERS OVER THERE ARE FIGHTING AND BELIEVE IN IT. i know everyone cares about the united states, but in the long run this could really help... yeah i think bush messed up and this should be over by now, but im not pissed.

Who's really proud that they voted for Democrats in the mid-term election? I mean seriously, they failed to accomplish 2 or 3 non binding resolutions that would have served no purpose in the first place. Now they want to pass a spending bill that will put a deadline on the war and assist the enemy. If this does miraculously get past the Senate, the President already said he will veto it. So why are they wasting their time. Are people really proud that they voted for this charade?

Iraqis feel things are looking up in Iraq just as the traitor Democrats want to cut and run.

PS: CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN Iraqis are not calling this a "civil war".

Additionally, what might be a better name for this war? After all, terrorism is a weapon, not a fighting force or an ideology.
