No, what they're dead set against is the United States LOSING the war in Iraq worse than it already has. Whether or not that will be a result of continuation of the war is not clear, although it is certainly possible.

Everyone I know wasn't opposed to winning the invasion of Iraq, they were opposed to the actual invasion, knowing that it was a the wrong action, and would actually exacerbate the problems with Terrorism rather than make the region safe for democracy. We are not against winning the war, (which even the current commanding general, General David H. Petraeus, stipulates this is not possible with military force), but rather are concerned that the current administration lacks both the wisdom and planning to pursue any course leading to a positive solution to this problem. We are not against winning, only the feckless continuation of a failed policy that leads to continued death for our troops, without any possible end to the destruction.

It's funny, those who support Bush, really don't seem to mind his liberal expansion of govt. (Dept. of Homeland Security, Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, PATRIOT Act) and his liberal pattern of spending (Almost $9 trillion on the national debt!).
But if someone who holds a liberal view of the war in Iraq (liberal =/= against winning btw) shows up on the radar, they are suddenly a traitor the country.

Because it isn't a dang football game.
More than 3000 American soldiers are DEAD fighting a pointless war that has now gone on longer than World War II. Access to Iraqi oil isn't worth one more American life.
Besides, how do we "win" a civil war, when we haven't even taken sides?

What are we winning? Answer that question intelligently and you will see being there just endangers the country more. Pissing off the entire region is a good way to repeat 9/11.

Wow, if I become a liberal like dstr, can I become a liar as well just like him? I've seen a lot of his posts on here and I have never seen a truth in a single one.

Liberals are extremely dangerous to this country.
They work from the inside out to try to wreck everything from the constitution, to our Christian heritage, and everything American in between.
Many have become rich off of their own hypocrisy and lies. It is a religion and idealogy not too far from the idem of Islam, communism, or totalarianism when scrutinized closely.
