one from Zimbabwe, one from South Africa, two from France, and another from Israel.
They are all now American citizens. However, they still refer to themselves as 'French' or 'Israeli' or 'Afrikan'.
to all who say having a hyphen in your American identity is wrong, what would you say to them?

They don't even say American.
They just say the country they were born in and their family is from.
