I'm in Florida and here you need concealed permit to have guns, knives and clubs if you plan to have them on you but you don't need one for the house. I was reading that Tazers are not illegal here and that they are not considered a weapon therefore no need of a license, kind of a loophole but it is true. Thanks everybody!

The answer will vary by state. Perhaps if you care to identify the state you are inquiring about, someone can provide a specific answer.

Because my city passed a local law, I somehow doubt there's a federal one against it. However, if you were to carry it concealed, you would need a concealed weapons permit.

Actually, it is more likely to be legal to carry a VISIBLE weapon than a concealed weapon. Without knowing where you are, I can't tell you is tazers are legal at all.

I believe it is illegal to carry a tazer, but you would need to check with your local police department.

check with your local police dept about that, they get real uptight about carrying that item, someplaces they are are one way ticket to the cross bar hotel, no advance reservations required, no questions asked, just because its ok in one place does not mean that its legal accross the srteet., tread lightly.
