I have just started going to college in Jan. for my Associates in Ecomic Crime (white collar crime, credit card fraud etc. ), so I am a long way off. I would like to work in the legal field. I am not interested in being a correction officer, police or a lawyer though it appeals to me a bit, it is not an option - any other ideas?

Hello - I been to America 5 years ago as an international student. I had a SSN and credit there but I screw it up and left the country.

I moved to England and changed my name and surname when I got my new citizenship and passport from UK,

Question: it is possible to get a new SSN in America, since I have a new passport from other country and a new name?

I have a job offer there and I told them I don't have SSN yet, so my empolyer will send me an application to apply for a number, but will the SS Office realize I am the same person from 5 years ago? How?

Iraq, how would you describe the current mission - THAT IS, is it not "nation-building?"
Wasn't that something Bush swore he wouldn't engage in?

I've never found it much of an insult or a derogatory term, especially when it's actually an accurate description of some of my political or economic positions.

Most of the time I just get blank stares when I concur with their charge, as if I'm expected to deny it or be angry. Just wondering what offense might be intended, because none is taken.

I got a summons in the mail, and it's for a day that I have a trip planned. I'm obviously not going to cancel it so what do I do?

Here's the thing though. It says that I am in a standby group. I am to call the day before to see if I actually have to report. So, basically, I may not have to end up going.

Has anyone else ever been on standby? When this happens are my chances of not having to go in good or not?

my boyfriend has residential custody of his 7 year old son. the mother has lost a total of three children to two different men. his company was going under, so he had to get a new job. he took a third shift position until a first shift one comes available at his new job. he has a responsible babysitter for nighttime, where the child has his own bed. the mother was proven unfit by the courts two years ago. she was proven unable to bathe the child, change the child's clothes, and put the child to bed at a reasonable time, amongst other things. she has a pending dcfs case against her for giving the child a knife unattended. she has never taken advantage of her visitation rights on holidays or the two weeks she is allowed in the summer. she moves in with different men every two months or so. very unstable. she has now hired a lawyer (the same one she had when she lost custody) and wants to go for residential custody. do you think she has a chance? should my boyfriend be worried?

with the UN, NATO WTO, and all those other rich boys clubs, if the us govt fell, would there really be a change? would there be chaos and violence? or would we go seemlessly into the next stage of human "evolution": creating a planet wide empire. just get rid of the violent troublemakers, add economic control on populace, and you have: one planet, under god, indivisible.....
how does that sound?
it has nothing to do with bush, it WILL happen eventually, whther under libs or conservatives, so dont bring that in here.

I wonder if anyone who actually had friends or family in Iraq thought that Bush joking around about no WMD's was as funny as the audience did.

I don't really feel Bush and his friends were supporting the troops. In fact, I think they were being cold-hearted and disrespectful.
