Simon issues a ninety-day negotiable note payable to the order of Borges for him to purchase a car. Borges has already forged a relationship with a car dealer, and begins negotiating. Simon holds the amount of note blank, pending a determination of the amount of money he will need to purchase the car. Simon authorizes any amount that doesnt exceed $3,000. Without authority Borges fills in the note in the amount of $5,000, later sells the note toAbbott for $4,850. Borges doesnt buy the car andleaves the state, $5,000 richer. Abbott has no knowledge that the note was incomplete when issued or that he had no authority to complete the note in the amount of $5,000. Nevertheless,Abbott now holds the note and sells it to Sturrock for $4,700. Abbott and Sturrock negotiated a price at the Wooden Nickel, where they had a couple of beers. Sturrock, now the holder of the note, sells it to First National Bank at a discount of $4,500. First National Bank presents the note to Simon for payment.

If so:
WHAT HAPPENED to the traditional conservative principle of having a small government?
Wire-tapping and the Patriot Act are just a couple examples.
Aren't you conservatives all for privacy and less government involvement...?
Do you feel proud now that you are a traitor to conservatism?

I know that accurate time keeping was a vital part of early navigation and still is where dead reckoning is concerned.

What I am looking for is, how did the system for announcing the time come about, as in "eight bells" or "six bells", etc.

How does the system work?

Two weeks ago I had asked the question, What should be the solution to get rid of from the Naxalites problem in india.
but no body even tried to reply the question.
Again I am asking that the Govenment organisations of various states are discussing about the solution of the naxal problem at Jamshedpur(Jharkhand) after the M.P. (Mr. Sunil Mahto) assasination. At the same time, The so called Naxal group attacked at Chhattisgarh where 55 Policemen were killed. I want to say that if our government are serious about solving the problem, then why they are not talking with the leaders of the group?

It is a great mystery to me that if someone declares war on your country it's basic common sense to go after those people and not someone else just because he's a "bad man." There are an awful lot of unanswered questions about the US motives in the Middle East and they don't smell too right.....................!!

The BBC says that Timothy Griffin, GWB's pick as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, was behind a scheme to deny the voting rights of 70,000 U.S. citizens prior to the 2004 election. Hmmm... any thoughts on that?

I had less of a tax return this year than ever before - I am below the poverty line... and I even tutored kids as part of his stupid "No Child Left Behind" program...

but people who make 50-100k just feel like Bush has really helped people to not have to pay taxes... maybe for them it's true.

In case you guys didn't realize, we live in AMERICA! We are supposed to be able to voice our opinions without the consequence of morons assuming we hate our country or troops.
With your dissenting from this unique principle of our country, you would be better suited living in a dictatorship. I suppose that's why you abandoned your traditional conservative values of having a small government and support Bush's absolutely enormous rise in power during wartime.

p.s. YOU must be the ones who hate America and most of its citizens. You criticise those who criticise the President...and look at our president's approval rating--->about 33% now. You are the minority barking at the moral majority.

I made a few mistakes ten years ago when I experimented with drugs a couple of times. I have been in the Military for the past ten years, earned a Bachelors Degree, and have not used any drugs while in the Military.

I am interested in a position at a Florida Sheriff or Police unit and would like to know what their prior drug use policy is for a Polygraph Examinations. For example; I know the FBI's policy is no use of any drugs other than Marijuana in the past ten years, and no use of Marijuana in the past 03 years.

I have heard that some Sheriff Offices require no drug use in the past 36 months, and that is it. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Thank you.

My fiance injured his shoulder at work last weekend. On 3/21/07, he got taken to urgent care for diagnosis and treatment. He sprained his shoulder. He was doing his normal duties, and his shoulder popped. He is in a lot of pain. He got a letter today denying his claim for worker's comp. Does anyone know if anything else can or should be done to try to fight the ruling? I don't know if I'm putting this in the right category, but if anyone knows, please tell me. Thanks in advance.
