I had less of a tax return this year than ever before - I am below the poverty line... and I even tutored kids as part of his stupid "No Child Left Behind" program...
but people who make 50-100k just feel like Bush has really helped people to not have to pay taxes... maybe for them it's true.

sparhawk - thanks for proving my point... I won't reveal how much I made but it is far less than you... and I always got a complete refund of all taxes paid when Clinton was in office... (for the 2 years of his service that I was the legal age to work)

captkirk - perhaps if you take a college class (and take out a few loans to do it) and make sure it is a social studies class, you will learn about this problem we call "the working poor in America"...
just a thought.

OK, Here's a couple of clues:
1.) Do you not remember getting a TAX REBATE when President Bush came into office? Forgot that one, huh?
2.) When the taxes were lowered, did you change your deduction rate at your job, or did you just go with the common "take every deduction I can get my paws on" rating and so your return is not very high? Bottom line is that, if you pay less during the year, your return will be less at the end of the year.
3.) Take a good look at your tax returns from 2006 and compare them with 1999 when Billybob was in office and then figure out the percentage of your income you were paying in taxes. You do know how to do that, right? Bet that per dollar earned, you are paying less taxes.
4.) What makes you think that people who make $50K a year aren't living hand to mouth? I'm sole support for my wife and I and I make about $80K but I happen to live in an area where everything is expensive. IT'S NOT THE GOVERNMENT'S FAULT, IT'S MINE.

Well I have paid less in taxes since Bush's tax cut. And my biggest year was a little over 30k. Best way to tell is to take a return from Clinton years and compare the percentage paid in to one in the Bush years. But since that will always get you a better result under Bush the nice little libs will just ignore that.

Well I made 65K two years ago and got 60% of my FEDERAL taxs back. Due to family problems and relocation I made only 16k last year and got 100% of my Federal taxes back.
No matter how you look at it. People who make more are paying a higher percentage of thier pay to the corrupt, self serving, we want to buy your votes, government.
People who make 10x the money you make every year dont pay 10x the taxes they pay 30x the taxes. ( about 20x if you got some good write-offs)
You want everything to be fair. Give a flat tax rate with no deductions. Make everyone pay 15%.
Then of course you couldnt buy peoples votes by raising or lowering taxes.

I got news for you, middle income wage earners got an average of $20 from the whopping tax cuts. Whoopee doo. These people that say that Bush lowered their taxes are the same ones that said Clinton raised theirs. Both are lies. Some times even educated people get mentally diminish and follow the party propaganda.

Ah, why do you base what your tax's are, based on your income tax refund ???
Thats just plain silly.
If you want to know if you paid more or less tax, then look at you tax form and see what tax's you actualy paid and compare it to your income.
The federal tax rate has been lowered in every tax bracket since 2001.

Is "real" unemployment like super duper, suitable-secret unemployment. What replaced into Bush's real unemployment style? You men could have suggested that too whilst he replaced into President precise? (lol!)

The wealthy pay more taxes than the poor.
The liberals support these taxes that hurt the wealthy:
-estate tax
-business tax
-gross receipts tax
-income tax (more the higher you are paid)
-worker's compensation tax
-luxury tax
-higher 2nd home tax
The poor pay less taxes.

If you had less tax than ever before as you state, what are you upset about? Maybe it's that a lot of people make more money than you.

Yes, many people that I know have never received a tax cut. They all make under 80,000 which clearly gives an indication of what type of people are receiving tax cuts.

I don't know, all I do know is that I never owed taxes before this year, so the tax cuts haven't done me much good.
