I'm not in DC right now (and nor are you, presumably), but I doubt that they're "avoiding eye contact with the area of the Pentagon that was destroyed on 9/11". Why would they? They're neither the reason why that happened, nor was Iraq. If you have a point to make, why not state it clearly and provide a compelling argument to support it?

they just don't want to be reminded. But i still think the pentagon didn't go down the way we are told.. where is the wreckage of the plane?? how come nobody saw the plane coming?? it was a joke.. but the protesters just don't want you to remember 911

I watched the coverago on C Span. I really could not tell where people were or were not looking. I can tell you that I believe that protests like this where speakers step forward to trash our government and encourage anarchy serves to empower our enemies.

a) the Pentagon doesn't have eyes unless you are referring to those dozens of cameras that were turned off on 9-11.
b) they can't see the Pentagon where they are standing.

I'm sure they are probably protesting the Iraq war. you know the one that has nothing to do with 9/11. so i don't know why they would avoid eye contact.
