My friend who came from an Asian country had to stay in a hotel for a week with his 2 yr old daughter, she was having jet lag and she woke up by 2 at night and started crying. The man at the neighbouring room complained and threatened him that he would call a police. He requested him that he would vacate in a couple of days and he did so. I really felt sorry for him and his child.

our daughter had our granddaughter out of wedlock when she was 16 years old. the father wants nothing to do with them. we (the grandparents) have raised the child (now 2 1/2 years) from birth with little help from the mother. the mother now marries a man that she met over the internet and only knew for a very short time and is in the army. shortly after marriage they moved to texas and leaves the child with the grandparents. there is little communication from the mother to the child and little financial support to the grandparents. the mother now says they are coming to get the child in may. this is ripping our heart out out. please help!!

There was no cause to pull me over for DUI, but my 2 witnesses from my company who could agree, could be diced up by prosecution if I try to use them in court since they were drinking heavily.

This was in Georgia and none of the 3 of us live there. The report says we were "weaving numerous times" crossing lanes.. a total lie, but there is no video used in his car. He is lying in nearly every sentence of the incident report, even saying I told him we were coming FROM the hotel that was in front of us.. I'm talking *egregious* lying. The stop was certainly illegal, but I cant prove it.

I passed all tests easily but I have heard when they say to "blow harder!! blow harder!!" (he did, every time) they do this when they are in jeopardy of being wrong, so they want the last bit of breath from the bottom of the lungs where more alcohol is present, but isn't truly "a breath".

Either way, is there any possible way to convince a jury of all this if I went to trial, or even that the BAC (.11) was incorrect as read by the machine? Or am I screwed by a typical corrupt cop and should just accept the plea/conviction rather than paying for an expensive trial that I have no visible evidence to win?

It seems to me so many people form their opinions based on what the Nightly News on NBC tells them. Tim Russert said before the 2004 elections that for Americans to be truly educated on issues and be qualified to answer political opinion polls they need to listen not to one network's news but read newspapers, use the Internet, listen to radio, and listen to some of the cable TV channels like CNN and FoxNews to have an informed opinion. I got a survey the other day from the DNC. The questions were so skewed that I answered most of them "Not Sure'. I suspect the RNC's surveys are the same.

I just got suspended from my school because my "skirt was to short." Except my skirt was over an inch longer then my finger tips. The handbook said it can only go to finger tip length. So as they were telling me to change, I asked them why. Then it turned to me asking the principal and all he said "Because I said so." Now I am in HIGH SCHOOL! Not elementary. I am no freshman either! I deserve a better response then "Because I said so." So when I continued to ask, they finally suspended me. I consider this to be unfair. Even the teachers thought my skirt was school appropriate. I even showed them the handbook where it said what the length should be. Where could I possibly report this to? Principals going against the handbook just because of they way they feel about something, isn't right. My only crime was... I looked good.

in Iraq? Isn't it more important to have at least an elementary knowledge of the behaviors, attitudes, religions, and overall culture of the chosen government before such an attempt is made?
In Jan. 2005, U.S. president George W. Bush said: "It is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world."
------------------------------------------------------------
Should we continue bursting forth, thrusting OUR sense of democracy without recognizing the limitations of others to even begin to understand?
War is hell they tell me. People die.
Still, I am yet to be convinced that the loss of over 3,100 American lives has been worth the effort in Iraq.
(Notwithstanding Condi Rice's so-called "expertise "in Soviet matters, our knowledge of most foreign countries, and specifically the Middle East, is pathetically short-sighted.)

I am a male that resides in the state of Ohio. I am the residential parent of my two daughters in a shared parenting plan I have with their mother. We have been divorced for 4 years now. My ex is the one that decided she wanted out of our marriage and was re-married within a year after our divorce to someone she was secretly seeing while we were still married. I re-married 7 months ago and within 3 months after my wedding my ex-filed for full custody of the girls which she was denied and nothing changed on our current agreement. She has now filed for child support because she wants to become a stay at home mom which I have nothing against but should her choice to quit her job be my responsibility to support her financially? I know what the Ohio law says but at the same time what would be wrong with me becoming a stay at home dad? I guess I'm having more trouble with the spiteful nature that this all is taking on and not the benefit of the children.

Israel says it won't work with the Palestinian government, Ahmadinejad calls the UN sanctions a "torn piece of paper," the war in Iraq is ongoing and going strong, Afghanistan is in a shambles with the Taliban gaining power...

I have a feeling that, with all this going on, what might actually end up uniting the Middle East is their collective hatred of the U.S.

I wouldn't want to be George W. Bush on THAT day.

Ok I am about at my wits end...literally....my husband and I are considering getting a "divorce" just to make our lives easier...We are married...been together for 14 years. Didn't have any children until we could afford them and still we only have 1 to ensure that we can provide for him as needed. I go to school full-time...since we make too much...I pay OUT OF POCKET $15,000 a year...My son goes to private school (I can't subject him to the mess they call the public school system)...$5000 a year. We still rent (can't afford a house anyway)

So why does this chick that I know live on HUD has a MUCH nicer place then we do, gets free tuition, her son gets a voucher to attend private as well, free everything!!

Here I am stupid me working FT, going to school FT, my husband works FT...and still NOT living as good as someone on welfare...

She is on welfare with her 3 illegitmate kids and has it better than we do...how messed up is that?

Am I the only one disgusted by this?
