His wife Letitia died while he was in office, he then married Julia, Becoming the first president to Marry while in office.
He didn't have an appointed Vice President because the 23rd Amendment was not passed until 1967

The tenth President of America was John Tyler.
There was NOT a Vice President while John Tyler was in office.
And, first ladies were Letitia Christian (1st wife), Priscilla Cooper Tyler (daughter-in-law), and Julia Gardiner (2nd wife).
