After pointing out how the Old Testament supports slavery, keeping women down, waging holy wars, killing infidels, stoning adulterers and women who are married and are not virgins, stoning disobedient children, cursing those who do not kill, and keeping your enemy's virgins for yourself, they tell me that the Old Testament is no longer valid.

Then why is it they are always quoting the Old Testament in church and almost never the words of Jesus? The few times they quote Jesus, they quote the faith crap instead of the parts where he tells his followers to give to the poor, invite them to your banquets even if they cannot pay you back, fight evil with good, turn the other cheek, love your enemies, and that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.

By the way, the Old Testament is not the only part of the bible with backward teachings. The words of Paul were used to support slavery in the South and to keep women down.

It is the responsibility of a corporation, within a capitalist system, to make profits - however they see fit - within the confines of the law. This might mean that they move their operations to another country to lower production costs...in order to make higher profits.

I continually read criticisms of Liberal socialism, but the same people are also critical of the companies who have moved their operations out of America. So which is it? Are we capitalists, or not?

I heard that the non-profit organizations are not under the cap for the H-1B visas so if I want to switch my job will I be able carry my H-1B visa with me to the regular company or do I have to apply for a new H-1B visa to be included in the cap?

I work in an office that has a dress code. It required men to wear shirts and ties, dress pants and shoes however it does not make such specific stipulations about women's attire. Simply stated, women must dress professionally. One of the guys here thinks women's dress needs to be as explicitly laid out as the men's otherwise it's discriminatory. He also argues that for a woman to wear pants, dress shoes and a sweater is not nearly as professional as a man wearing a shirt and tie. He seems to be the only man in this place with this problem and he repeatedly insists that it is discriminatory.

Liberals want...

Education for their young...today's conservative bashes the educational system claiming a hidden political agenda impressed upon our young. Most education disciplines do NOT include a discussion of politics.

Proactive advocacy for the poor and working class american...today's conservative wants to banish social spending for the elderly and poor and pretend lazy people are the only people that benefit from such activities, a true misrepresentation.

... a free press...today's conservative bashes the press and calls it unamerican with a hidden agenda.

...wants a seperation of church and state while today's liberal seeks creationism and prayer be a cornerstone of our education system.

Think liberal, think Big.

Should an individual seek legal advice or representation when an employer fires the individual two weeks after the individual had their medication adjusted? The employer was aware of the adjustment made on the medication which was being taken to alleviate symptoms of ADHD and depression. One week after the individual was fired, the individual was hospitalized for severe depression. The excuse the employer gave the individual upon his/her termination was that he/she was incapable of multitasking. What are the legal options available for this individual??

I bought a ticket in Expedia.com to travel to Switzerland with Swiss Airline, i have an emergency and i can't travel on my set date, i would like to reschedule my dates and pay any necessary penalty, Expedia says they would change it but Swiss airlines is not allowing them since i bought a very restrictive web fare, not even with a Doctor's letter they are willing to change it, or give me my money back. i told them i will pay any penalties but reschedule me and they won't. I called the airline and expedia and both are saying no. But supposedly is the airline who is not allowing this. i don't want to lose my money they won't reschedule me and they won't refund me. Is this legal? what can i do? Thanks, i am desperate here...

If a Dem proposed one half of the type of legislation JFK passed/proposed, Republicans would label him a socialist. By the way, JFK never signed a tax cut into law. It was signed by LBJ in 1964 and the cut was next to nonexistent. There was not even a drop in tax reciepts. Tax receipts took huge dives under Reagan and Bush Jr's tax cuts on the other hand.

- JFK was endorsed by the New York Liberal Party for president. In the acceptance speech he details why he is a liberal.

- He was a strong supporter of the separation of church and state.

i need help remembering all the dirty, lowdown, treasonous, seditious, underhanded, hypocritical and just plain nasty things the democrats have done since george w. bush was elected as our 43rd president. there are simply too many even for my giant brain to recall. and please, if you are a democrat answering, try not to editorialize...we have heard it all before, just try and stick to the actual events as best you can...as for you republicans, try and keep to one or two things, let everyone have a chance!
