We currently are in the city limits of a city (Birmingham,AL), but we are seperated from the rest of the city and would like to become part of a smaller city that completely surrounds our subdivision. We bascially live in a two street subdivision completely surrounded by a different city than we are located in. Any ideas on how to push for annexing into the surrounding city?

Because we all know that unregulated trade, chronic trade deficits, unlimited H1-Bs, union-bashing, and unfettered capitalism in general is never going to rebuild our middle class.

Does anyone in Washington have an alternative?

I was, I accepted the official 911 propaganda despite what my senses witnessed.

"A key tool in this modern form of psychological warfare is the "meme" -- an idea that acts like an infectious agent to spread itself through a population. Through careful construction of memes, the perpetrators could depend on others to unwittingly promote their cover story and conceal the truth. Their disinformation strategy was twofold. First, they would sell the official story to the masses through the compliant mass media, relying on people's desire to believe the official story. Second, they would seed specious ideas in the community of "9/11 skeptics" in order to distract and discredit them."

How can we be fighting for "our" freedom in Iraq (haha), yet let our government strip away our freedoms? You have neo-cons on the one hand who want to call you a traitor for disagreeing with Bush. You have liberals on the other hand who demand political correctness. You have DUI checkpoints which are unconstitutional, as they violate our Fourth Amendment rights. Now you can get stopped for not wearing a seat belt.

Now what did our forefathers fight for again?

Also....did you know that....

It's now well established that George W. Bush never showed up for National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year, possibly more, in 1972-1973. Despite all the talk about "honor and dignity," President Bush has apparently flushed his down the toilet. President Bush went AWOL!! Cheney himself also received 5 deferments! Both of these men are “Chicken Hawks.”

I am not looking for personal opinions but actual definitions from a qualified source, especially if it is defined by some NATO official or the like. My question is basically this: Where does NATO promote peace and stability? The preamble reads: “They [ the parties of this treaty] seek to promote stability and well-being in the North Atlantic area. They are resolved to unite their efforts for collective defence and for the preservation of peace and security.” What does that "North Atlantic area" refer to? Does that include all Russia? (That is what I want to know) Does NATO have to promote peace and stability towards/to Russia?

Again, I am not looking for personal opinions. Links to articles, definitions, dictionaries, etc. are what I am looking for. Thank you in advance.

The WTC center was made up of several buildings, not just the twins. After the 2 twins fell on 911 in the morning, a 3rd building fell called Tower #7 (apprx. a 47 story building). paste this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6QV6LK8j1Q and watch the proof of 911 being an inside job!

So we invaded Iraq with the promise of a crushing blow, by the Saddam. What exactly did the Iraqi military do and where are they? Whatever happened, the lack of heavy engagement with them did not present an easy victory. Did Saddam have the bloody anarky that currently ennsues in Iraq in mind?
