what could a 17 year old have in common with a 14 year old?? Not a big difference when you turn older but at this stage it's quite an age difference.

to answer question.. legally nothing until he turns 18, but again why???

Not in Canada unless the 17 year old is in a position of authority over the 14 year old (which would probably unlikely).

I am also assuming you mean having a sexual relationship.

Yes. Georgia has/had a crazy one where if the person is over 16 and the other is less, it can be punishable by up to 10 years in jail for statutory. I believe that it just got changed though. You might want to check the town and state laws for that.

I don't think your parents would be very comfortable with the whole situation. When the 17 year old turns 18, then it becomes statuary rape and that is where the illegal judgement comes from.

depending on the State, different laws and levels of offenses..

If the girl has a father, the law may not be your biggest problem.

17 is considered an adult. Any love making = jail time and you are considered a sex offender for the rest of your life.
